Usually I save my movie review for Monday so I can have the quirky title like "Movie Review Monday" but I have no "Sunday's Soapbox" for you, so we switch things up a bit. Onto my review!

And the movie is...

It's a true story about a guy named Tucker Max (above) and how he is a filterless guy, who says ANYTHING he wants. Usually insulting everyone. It's all about Tucker, all the time.

Wrap into the story a bachlor party/strip club for his best friend, and the best part is...

Jesse Bradford.

Name doesn't ring a bell? He was Cliff in "Bring It On" (the first one) he was the lead guy in Swim Fan, he was Balthasar in Romeo & Juliet (the one with Leo in it) either way, he was the funniest fucking person in this movie.

He had caught his fiance blowing Paul Wall (a rapper for those of you who are not edumacated in rappers) and he has the WORST hate for women, he says the meanest lines to his friends. And I laughed my ass off. One of his many funny lines, and delivered in a sour, angry voice. Each word as a seperate sentance themselves said to Tucker (after Tucker made a funny joke about his ex-fiance blowing Paul Wall)

"I. Hope. You. Die. In. A. Fire." funny. Sure it's not funny, but it's fucking funny in the movie.

If you loved the Hangover, go rent this, I thought it was funnier. I could own this one. That's how funny. (don't go by rating, it is rude and offensive. Well that is just the kind of movies we watch over here. Think Bad Santa with Billy Bob)

Movie Review Monday!!

It's been a while since I did a review. I often review movies that are going to be released that Tuesday on DVD. And just a note in case you didn't already know, I get this perk, cuz of Spaghetti's video store job. The employee's get to take home any new release to watch, FO FREE! so we stock up on movies on Thursday and watch them through Monday.


Anywho. Here's the movies we watched, and what my opinion is of them.



Humpday.
It was one of those ones that never made it to the theatre. And there is a damn good reason why.


It's weird, uncomfortable and just plain fucked up. It's not your normal studio movie. Let's just say it's a husband and wife at home, doing normal boring new husband and wife stuff. When scruffy guy knocks on the door at 1:30 in the morning.


Husband agrees to hang out with his old friend, and ends up at a party, while his wife is home making her special pork chop dinner for the guys. The party is at an arty house, and the scruffy guys girlfriend (he just met yesterday) has a girlfriend too.

Kinky.


Husband guy, gets stoned, and drunk and they party people are all laying around talking about making amature p*rn, and that there is some award show for them. When all of a sudden, husband guy says the best artsy amature p*rn would be if two straight guys fucked for the sake of art. (I know amature is spelled wrong, I did it for the sake of being googled for the subject)


Then he proceeds to suggest himself and scruffy guy.


...


Now don't get me wrong, I love gay men, lesbians, bi's, tranies, BUT I really don't want to watch two guys going at it. With Spaghetti.


Let's just say we usually watch stupid movies until the end just because they are free, and to see what the fucking point is. Nope not this one. This was a fast forward movie. I did see scenes where he was apologizing to his wife, and the renting of a hotel room, and two naked guys. And that was all we needed to see for this review.


That movie would be a no star for my review.

My Sisters Keeper.

Great movie, I cried, I laughed, I cried ALOT, I sobbed, gag sobbed.

Long story short, Cameron Diez plays mom, who has 3 kids with her husband. A son, then a daughter who gets Leukemia, so they make Abigail Breslin out of a petre dish for spare parts for her sister. Hence the title.


I cried the most when the dad had to pin Abigail's 5 year old character down for the bone marrow, I mean I didn't sob the whole way through, but it was probably because of the family, the cancer, that really got me at times.


Cute movie, great actors in it, Joan Cusack and Alec Baldwin are in it too. If you can handle a pretty graphic movie about fighting parents, and throwing up blood, you just might be able to stomach this movie.

I give it 4 stars.



Why Up again? Well because my kids watch it 3 times a day. I love this movie, and so do they. Plus I needed a good dose of it after Humpday.

Angels and Demons

I can not wait! I read Da Vanci Code and loved it, and now after reading another amazing book by Dan Brown, we have Angels and Demons coming out on movie in May!!

I know the whole religious thing is touchy, but to me these are amazing stories that ask that one question... what if?

Movie Review Monday. Alter boys with no pants. And a porno.

Movie Reviews are in!

Welcome to Movie Review Monday's, the day of the week where I watch the new releases that will be out in video stores on Tuesday, the weekend before, thanks to my dear husbands big pimpin' job at the video store! Wee!

So with out further delay, here are my reviews!

Well, um, some straight edge emo kinda highschoolers (seniors) that live in New York, they all go out. Looking for this band called "Where's Fluffy?" and the band leaves clues all over town and there are ex boyfriends, and ex girlfriends, drunk friends, a gay band "fist full of assholes" and well Nick and Nora, oh and don't forget the alter boy with no pants on.




You have to see it for yourself. It's good. Nothing a kids would watch, or a husband, not to funny, not really sad either, nope not action either. Hmmmm... not sure where to classify this one. It was one of those movies I will rate... glad-I-didn't-pay-to-see-it,-could've-been-worse.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Cute picture right? So this one was funny, not for Spaghetti, he really didn't get the funny in it. Then afterwards we discussed his sense of humor for stupid funny has kinda gone away. I mean there were some funny parts, but no laughing from Spaghetti... hmrph... oh sorry of the subject. Back to the movie.

So Zack and Miri know each other for, like, forever, room mates, with $0.00 to pay bills. They decide to film a porno and get rich. Watch it, it's funny damn it. Goofy funny, with some romance to it.

(oh and for the record, I have a love for anything Seth Rogan is in. He is funny, real, and just a normal guy. Love him!)

Hooray! A dance movie. This on was rented for me. I love the dance movies. It was good, I always enjoy them. Same story line, girl wants to dance, needs to get into fancy academy, boy helps. Ballerina movie with hip hop.

Sigh. I have yet to watch it. Spaghetti wants to watch it now. I really don't. It's scary. Yes I have seen all the other 4. But if I watch it in the day time, it is just a teeny tiny bit less scary. Or so I tell myself. Maybe I can get him to watch it tomorrow morning with me.

Don't watch it. Well do whatever you want, but we just watched it, well I did and Spaghetti watched his eyelids. (ya know, lack of sleep with the other job)

Yeah the movie with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malcovich and bunch of other famous people. Either way it was dumb, and the best part was watching Brad Pitt try to be an idiot. Personally I think he was funny, and sad he died in the movie. Yes I just gave something away.

Don't worry you aren't missing anything, most of the characters die in the movie. Oh shit, I did it again. Like I said you don't need to see it. Kinda retarded. Just watch the previews, that was the best part.

(and yes I know I labeled it Movie Review Monday and it's Friday. It's either I'm ahead of myself, or just really slow... lets go with ahead of myself)

Well since Chandler over at Maternal Mirth had to tell you about one of my most favoritest movies EVER. I must jump in and tell you my love for this movie, it's one of those I can quote word for word, I watch it often. Thanks for reminding me how much I love this movie!

Home for the Holidays, has Holly Hunter, Claire Danes, and my all time favorite, Robert Downey Jr. (and a bunch of other great actors)

This is the best Holiday movie. Funny and real. And I mean feisty's family real. Enjoy my two favorite scenes, the first is the Turkey scene, scuz and the Queen totally get me on this one. Well we all have these people in our families.

And if you remember from way back when my InSaNiTy blog started, the quote was "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and everyone thinks everyone elses stinks" now you know where I quote it from. But the product of baboon lovin' is pretty fucking funny too.



Now this second one is Holly Hunter in the shower, and Robert Downey Jr. seems to have a love for his Polaroid camera. I used to walk around making that sneaky creepy noise he does in this scene!



Hope you enjoyed. Now as Chandler says, go buy it, rent it (a waste, because you will then just go and buy it) Go. Now. I will wait here. Let me and Chandler know what you think!

And the perk of Spaghetti working at a video store part time is... (as said before) we get the new releases on Thursday before they are released. (Yes, fo free!) So Get Smart was our choice to watch. I laughed my ass off!

As always Steve Carell is freaking hilarious! And Anne Hathaway is great, I am more used to her in cute Disney films, and this one she was super funny, sexy and kicked ass. A definite must see, cute for family with kids. But we enjoyed it as well.

Another line that Maxwell Smart used, one of my favorites to say myself... "Missed it by that much"

So this was my movie review of the week, ohh... maybe a Movie Review Monday... maybe... stay tuned.
