Eat This

I’m one of those magazine readers who loathes the recipe section. I have no urge to ever do them, to even read them. They are SO far off from what we eat and 95% of the time it just looks gross, or needs ingredients I can’t afford or will only use once.

The way I see it is SO many magazines work with people who already do this, and diets are so wrapped around these life styles.

What I’m saying is I need to start slow. So slow that baby steps is the key for us. I need to first get away from the drive thru, and processed foods.

Of coarse it’s easier, hello. Yummy of coarse, but I’m seeing myself either staying 30 lbs over weight forever, or watching my weight climb more.

I am not encouraged AT ALL by magazines with healthy foods, we eat food so bad for us, and it’s such a food shock for us, that when we do try to get all healthy it’s SO foreign we last 3 days, the food goes bad in our fridge, and I go back to the drive thru and processed crap.

So this is what I need to do. STOP the drive thru first. BABY steps. Make the drive thru a privilege to eat there. A treat. And less of a daily routine.

We are trying to ease good food into our lives so baby steps by far for us. I need to focus on baby steps for all kinds of aspects of my life and my families. I seem to have an issue with procrastinating, and trying to do it all at once.

Flylady says to take flybaby steps and of coarse the Feisty in me says “oh you can do it all at once” and then after a year of crashing and burning, I have learned that I need to s.l.o.w.l.y. feed my family right, and s.l.o.w.l.y. imply this into all aspects of our life.

Alright enough deep thinking from me, that’s all I got for you today.

Manic Monday on Tuesday

What's the main thing that builds your self-confidence and why?

May sound conceited, but when I have a rock star day with my hair and make-up, I feel like I can rule the world.

115_9856 I know I just posted this one but it’s cute.

What lessons in humility have you learned over the course of your life?

My opinion is not always wanted. Um… I talk alot. I’m not uncomfortable with silence, but I do feel the need to talk. All the time.

So I’ve tested people that I love, to see if they really listen all the time. So I start a story, and don’t finish it. And yep, as I thought, there are many times where no one notices I stopped.

That will teach someone real fast that your going on and on and on…

How do you combat negative thoughts?

As a wise friend one told me. Sometimes we can only deal with the now. I say baby steps. Baby steps in everything. Budgeting, cleaning, child care, dogs, cats, hobbies. Anything negative I try to either take it one step at a time, or step back and realize that I have SO much more then some people out there.

I strongly dislike negative people. OMG people who rag and bitch suck. The worst are scrapbookers. Who bitch about product, and idea’s out there. Seriously? Creating Keepsakes Magazine quoted this once (it’s on my door to my art room “Life is stressful. Scrapbooking shouldn’t be”

Hope you enjoyed Manic Mondays! I know it’s Tuesday, but it’s better then Sunday!

Manic Monday

What are the values you cherish even though they may run counter to societal values?

Long live Reality T.V. not kidding. I love it. I love all the MTV shows, all the VH1 crap, the Bad Girls, the Kardashians, Kate plus 8, you name it. I seriously value it as good t.v.

Whatever you want to say is your opinion, and this is mine. Don’t get me started on Jersey Shore, it’s crap but I can’t miss a minute of it.

Mondays make me___________.

Happy. It’s Spaghetti’s Saturday, so around our house we enjoy Mondays. Sorry people, your Saturday is only Thursday around this house.

If you were to publish a book about yourself, what would you title it?

“Unconventional Me.”

Fill in the blank: If I had a nickel for every time I...

Took a picture. Yeah… I’d be rich… I think our last vacation would be worth… let’s see… 318 pictures x .05 cents = 15.90! Hey it would have covered my last print out of photos!

What do you think about while you exercise?

Haha… hahaha… haaaaahaaaaha… really? Exercise? Bwahaahaahaa…

What are 5 things you love about your spouse/partner/significant other (or children or pet)?

Well since you asked I will do them all… this may be long… but a good exercise for me (this is the most exercise I will do today)

Spaghetti

1. His smile

2. His patience

3. He is SUCH a hard worker

4. His sense of humor

5. He’s mine.

Bagel

1. He laughter

2. Her imagination

3. Her thoughts

4. The way she sleeps

5. Her new found sense of style

Weaky

1. That he adds more and more words to his vocabulary every day

2. The way he runs

3. When he runs for “momma” every time.

4. His kisses

5. His love for my dad. His Papa Carrots

Maggie May (our boxer)

1. Her wiggles (at 7 she’s still got puppy wiggles!)

2. Her empathy is astounding. I cry she’s there. No questions asked. (example while writing this post I got up to get coffee, and stepped on something sharp which stuck in my foot. She saw that I sat on the floor, and came over to check out my foot and give me kisses. My mag pie)

3. Her love for Spaghetti

4. Her sounding bark/howl when someone is here.

5. Her back scratches in the grass. You know when they lay on their backs all 4 legs in the air, and shift back and forth.

Sophie

1. Her love for me. That’s my puppy.

2. Her wiggles. Hands down the wiggliest dog ever.

3. Her love for the sun. Open door, she goes for the sun. Like a solar panel.

4. She is A.MAZ.ING with the kids. Especially when Weaky tries to ride her like a Shetland pony.

5. When she comes over, gives you a kiss, then just walks away. Wiggling.

Jordan and Chloe

(not that I don’t love both my cats dearly, but they are simple and I’m getting tired of this exercise… sheesh even this exercise exhausts me!)

1. Easy, their curiosity. Hello. Cats?

2. Chloe’s love for all things with the dryer. Inside right after I dry, and during the dryer she lays on top.

3. Jordan’s love for foreheads. Sit at the art table and tip your head down. She sniffs and chews at your hair. Too weird.

4. Chloe’s LOVE for being brushed, it’s tedious but it’s good for her, and it’s good for me to slow down a bit.

5. Jordan’s 1 foot rule. No matter where she lays in the art room, she puts one paw forward. Or hangs it over the edge of the table or tower.

What are 5 things you want to do in your life?

1. Live

2. Go on a Caribbean or Cancun vacation with Spaghetti again.

3. Continue to share my love for art. Be it teaching classes, or having my store one day.

4. See both my children grow up and have children of their own.

5. Visit another country. Options are Ireland, Italy or Australia.

What are you saying goodbye to?

Stampin’ Up!

Sigh. I’m pretty sure I’m not making quota this month. And I’m not going to go in debt trying. And I’m not going to hound my customers to make it either.

SU! has made my life amazing. I’ve made friends, and met wonderful people. I’ve traveled to Utah, Wisconsin and Michigan, and made some great things. But over all 6 years later, it seems to consume me, with little or no income.

Right now I need to say goodbye, and enjoy my hobby of scrapbooking and creating with out the HAVE to of meeting quota’s and the HAVE to create for a class, EVERY two weeks.

NO. I want my freedom to create with what ever and when ever I want. Goodbye Stampin’ Up!. I love you. I thank you.

What are you currently fascinated with?

Haha. To truly know Feisty, you have to know that I am fascinated with SO many things at once.

Right now I am fascinated with getting the house organized. With Bagel starting school, and Wrigley season for Spaghetti coming to an end he will be home more. So this is my time to get things together.

I am fascinated with scrapbooking. I was into going monthly to the local scrapbook store to crop. And I still do. But that one day a month isn’t keeping me at a pace that is keeping up with all the pictures I want to scrapbook! So I try to do a few a week. I just did 5 over the weekend and a digital scrapbook of our trip to Michigan.

I am fascinated with family time. More and more Spaghetti and I are realizing how important ALL our family is. Well that and the fact that our loss of family members in the last 5 years is a bit of a wake up.

I am fascinated with Facebook. Don’t lie to yourself, so are you. Think about it. A few years ago I mocked FB and it’s bland boring ways. Now I can’t go more then 12 hours with out my brain being crammed of witty posts.  I love the fact that SO many people who have made my life better are just a mouse click away.

Alright enough of my random thoughts. Thanks to Manic Monday for the great topics. These are about a months worth of Manic Mondays. I really need to do these on Mondays… and more often. They are good for me.

Preschool freak out

Your wondering if my precious little Bagel is worried, freaked out, and anxious over Preschool? Of coarse not. We've filled her blonde noggin with nothing but happy thoughts.Of playgrounds, friends, and toys.

It's me that's freakin.

Let's see where do I start... I live in a small village (not like in a small hut wear grass skirts kinda village, but when a town is so small they call it a village... well you freak) where everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows something about someone.

Right, so after 7 years of either working my ass off and not being village social, and now being a SAHM and refusing to socialize with anyone. I need to peek my over dyed head out the door and play nice.

Most of the time I am a drama queen but in my own world. I HATE other people's drama, family drama, so I'm not one of 'those' drama queens, just more of a theatrical kinda person, drama queen... get it?

I'm wondering what kind of person people see me as? Just a regular midwestern average SAHM?

I like to think I'm a Rock $tar of sorts. I did once apon a time touch P!nk's hand at a concert so doesn't that make me part Rock $tar of some kind?! I would like to think so.

I love pop music, Britney, Christina, P!nk, No Doubt, and Uncle Kracker, I am quickly falling in love with Ke$ha and Katy Perry, so that give me my happy go lucky attitude. So maybe I'm more SAHM happy?

But I'm still a Rock $tar attitude, becuase there is my love for Kid Rock, Linkin Park, and Korn. Rock music that says suck it. (putting it nicely) Ah and the music I love that ties with my bad ass attitude is my hip hop. My Missy Elliot, Emimen, Black Eyed Peas, Hollywood Undead. These all say I've got attitude, I won't take your shit, but still fun loving kind of girl?

Or my softer side of some R and B, nothing like some Usher and then just a wee bit of country. (wee bit) as in Kid Rock and Uncle Krackers version of country.

It's all these sides of me. How do I portray myself? I know, it's Bagel's school. Not mine. But I still think it's a social life for me. I'm excited to say the least about having some sort of social life. And I'm not saying I want play dates, but just the school life in general exictes me.

Haha, I guess I like the fact that I can go to school, and do the social part and not so much the homework part is what excites me!! Even though I know all too soon I will be helping Bagel with her homework.

Until then I can focus on little things, like what to wear when I do my drop off and pick up (we have to sign them in and out of school) how about this outfit...

No? Too much? I like. Very much.
