This guy right here? Yep, you guessed it. Baby daddy, husband, best friend and highlight of my day. (warning do not read if you are not interested in a love story, some gagging may occur)
After a 12 hour night shift working at the Casino, my friend Aerial and I grumpily left the smoke infested casino floor and went up to the offices for abitchfest meeting of some sorts. I vaguely remember a new guy, dark hair, sitting across from me. He said he was almost rude in how much he just stared at me. I just remember being tired & bitchy. What a first impression. Obviously he thought over tired, bitchy cashier was hot.
By the magic of the scheduling gods, and a position change a few months later Spahetti was sent to grave yard with the rest of us nut bags. He had switched to Impressment where he moved all the coin (back when casinos had coins) for us frail girls.
We flirted, but I was in a serious 4 year relationship with my H.S. sweetheart. So all the other girls flirted with this tall handsome guy. Who had a good heart, had manners, and very polite.
After many timesof being dumped of hearing I need my space for a week or two, by my so called sweetheart I started to hang out with Spaghetti on the side. We would get off graves, and go to breakfast at a local 24 hour restaurant, Sara's Place, for some one on one time. We would spend hours talking, sharing, laughing. Some days it would be 3 or 4 hours of coffee, and talking. One of the one visits to Sara's Place I remember most, was when we had both gotten out of work early, around 2 am, so we headed out to our place to eat. It wasn't until 10 am that we realized it had been over 8 hours!!

After many times
For months we hung out, I finally just asked him for his address, and told him I was coming over one day. He would cook me macaroni and cheese, and we would play CD's of our favorite songs. Realizing that this guy listened, cared, and laughed at my craziness, I needed to do something drastic.
I told my sweet heart of 4 1/2 year that it was over. After being told "I talked to much" and "I needed to be more preppy less... me" and that "I say "I love you" to much" and "I am too needy with all the hugs I give and want" I didn't believe it took me so long to realize there was better for me out there.
I will never forget my first kiss with Spaghetti, the first time I told him I love you (Sara's Place parking lot, in which he cracked his head on the truck door right after) and all the sweet comments he would tell me.
I once told him that I was falling in love with him. He said "Maybe someday you'll catch up" my heart melted and I was smitten.
We started officially dating on May 29th 1999, engaged on October 29th 1999, (that is a good story I will tell you later, someone remind me) and married June 16th 2001.
Our life is full of ups and downs, more ups then downs, blessed with families that love us, and support us. Had a condo together and sold that to buy our first home together in March of 2003.
We have been blessed with having children and a wonderful life. Money is always tight when raising kids but we have worked as a team through everything, and always talking and listening has made us the strong team we are today.
I thank Spaghetti for saving me. For showing me how a girl should be treated. Showing me how team Mc can grow and thrive in this crazy world we live in.
Thanks Spaghetti. Thanks for asking.
(taken April 2009 on the Nashville people bridge)Oh and the name Spaghetti? It rhymes with his first name.

That is so cute. At first, I have to admit, I thought you were going to say The Bagel was a Jewish girl and Spaghetti was an Italian boy and the two married. I'm from Long Island so Italian/Jewish couples are popular, their kids call themselves "pizza bagels" hee hee. :)
Looks like a cute blog you have here. Glad to "meet" you :)
