First time in 6 years.

It's quite.


There's no meowing for dinner.


Or barking at the back door.


Thing 1 and Thing 2 are 45 minutes north.


Ding and Dong are 20 minutes south.


This is the first time since we have lived here, 6 years last week, that there was NO pets at all on property.


Too bizarre.


I go to feed the cats, or shut the bedroom doors. But it's not necessary.


I go to check the back yard, or see my doggies on the t.v. room couches. But it's empty.


I hope after this trip I can come home. Get all 8 of us, 4 humans and 4 fuzzies, all back under our one roof.


I do enjoy less drama, and pet hair. But these few hours is good enough for me. I miss them so much already.


5 days till I see them again.


Miss you Maggie, Sophie, Jordan and Chloe.
