Tell me a story mommy

Feisty “So we went to the Childrens Museum today. And what did we do Bagel?”

Bagel “First we played with the house, and then the farm, and YOU played with me and the farm, and I had the tree house, you had the barn house. We grew a garden together, and we picked the plants, but not all them were done yet. That was fun”

Feisty “Then we played with Weaky and KBug at the 2 Year Station”

Bagel “THEN I was a vet…vet. tra.narian. I took care of a dog and horse and saw x-rays!”

Feisty “Yep. While KBug and Weaky played with the Halloween bucket filling table”

Bagel “And then we found bones, of dinosaurs!”

Feisty “What was upstairs?”

Bagel “A train table, puppet show, dress up, arts and crap, grocery store, and the houses with dinosaurs.”

Feisty “What about the light room?”

Bagel “OH the room where I wrote my name? I did good. Next time I want to write Weaky’s name too! And we dance, and then STOP!”

Feisty “That was great. How about where we ate lunch?”

Bagel “McDonald’s! We ate, well I did. Weaky did not. THEN I climbed really high in the play place, and YOU had to climb up with Weaky and KBug. And ALL those kids were on you!”

Feisty “What a great day we had Bagel! What was your favorite part?”

Bagel “You weren’t angry today mommy. I like when your not angry. Thanks”

This story was between Bagel and myself, sitting in my rocker, after a LONG great day of fun with my old school friend DMudd Pimpster, and her daughter KBug.

I wished my batteries in my voice recorder weren’t dead, I would have recorded this conversation. BUT I did type it out right afterwards, this is one for me.

Not that a great play date wasn’t for the kids, but the last line she said. That was for me. Spaghetti has been asking me to be happier and I think with my PPD that was why I was such a grumpy beast all the time, now each day I get better and yell less. I try. That’s all I can do. And to have Bagel tell me I was happy today. Means a lot to me.
