Shit.
I’ve had my Inlaws cat for less then 20 hours and I lost her.
Not as in outside lost. As in somewhere in my house lost.
So it’s complicated. She was SUPPOSED to be quarantined to the family room which is really the unused pool table/sports room that is now being converted BACK to a family room.
BUT till we sell the table, and remove ALL the sports memorabilia, AND paint the brick red walls, with black sponge paint (not kidding) it was going to be Lucy’s temporary home.
NOW if you wonder WHY I have Lucy so confined, I must remind you that I have two big 65 lb boxers who assault anything that moves. My sister, random kids (not ours, they like ours) bunnies in the yard, oh and cats for sure.
Right SO I have two cats, BUT they are grounded for life to the art room (follow the link for a tour of my art room!) sounds cruel. But there was a bit of a pissing contest between my two cats a few years back, and it finally came down to either they had to go, or the find a room they can’t/ or we don’t care if they piss on.
Off the track a bit, my girls are in love with their basement art room, which is soon going to be extended to the WHOLE basement once the ‘Pool table/sports room’ is made to a family room, and the dogs get that room, and not the basement room… lost yet? There is a tv room in the basement, that the dogs pretty much claim as their bed room. The dog’s bedroom tv room is moving to the ‘Pool table room’ and the dog/basement/ tv room is going to be a toy room for the kids! (OMG can NOT wait for that day! We might be able to walk in their bedrooms!) BUT again the cats, have their 5 foot carpet tower right under the ceiling heat vent, and they are all set up down there and see me often, for either laundry or art time
SO back to the subject. Lucy.
Lucy is a BLACK cat, solid black. She is the definition of shadow. She is the cat that slinks very cat like. Low to the ground, and creepy like. All those reasons, non cat lovers, don’t love cats.
I LOVE Lucy.
She’s a cat, and I love her no matter what. Hell I love my parents beautiful Blue Point Siamese who ninja style attacks me whenever I visit. So why not the creepy shy cat?
Oh and Lucy is a diabedic. Needs shots 2x’s a day, special food. And did I mention the 65 lb boxers?! We put up these HUGE boards to keep her in the room.
BUT I’m thinking last night she slinked out through the gap (she wouldn’t have during the day with the boxers, BUT at night when the girls are in bed she snuck out!)
Shit.
Where did Lucy go?

I hope you found her by now!
Very exciting about all the room changes.
I could not survive without a play room. We made our dining room into one for this house.
Found Lucy. She was under the recliner in the front living room. Sneaky fucker. Did it again today!
She's not going around the 5 foot wall, but jumping over!! What the?!
And yes the playroom is getting more and more exciting for me!
