Happy Belated Halloween!

Hope you all had a sugar induced coma type of Halloween!

I had a blast with the kids. (I will post their pictures later.) The 4 of us went trick or treating, we made it around the block, probably would have gone further, had it not been 40 degrees and windy as all hell.

Afterwards we got the kiddies to bed, and I headed down the street to my friend Michele's for a little Halloween Party. She went crazy decorating. But it was bad ass. She even took her family pictures out of ALL the frames around the house, and replaced them with some pretty fucked up black and white ones she googled. (think creepy, bizarre and just demented pictures)

BUT that is not what these pictures are from. THESE are from my stamp camp "Grave Yard Gala" that I held last week. Halloween is a big thing for me. And again in my life marks a milestone. 5 years ago I had my first Stamp Camp and it was a Halloween one!

And so the Halloween Stamp Camp has become more of a dress up, contest winning and some cute Halloween cards and 3D projects to go too! (All for $15!)
Here are the girls! Linda the Witch (coolest gloves EVER! Pipe the Penguin, Patti the Witch, Michele didn't play along (shocker for me! She LOVES Halloween!) I was... dead? and my mom was the walking dead. (I told her she should have worn all pink and been the Birthday Girl! It was her birthday this day!)
So Aerial and I took pictures together, lots of them. We tend to do that. We were born for digital cameras. I'm talking I have about 35 pictures of us just from this night. AND we narrow it down to about 3. Call us crazy but it's fun!

Me and the Queen got the giggles, we were trying to make scary faces!!

Tee hee. So the story is. Aerial has big boobs. Aerial likes to show off her assets. She takes a bit longer then the average bear to primp before each picture is taken.
Adjust boobs.
Primp hair.
Check make-up.
Ask if hair is ok.
Primp hair again.
Re-adjust boobs.
So while Aerial and I were getting ready for one of our many photos that my mom took (believe me my mom left WAY before ALL the 35 pictures were taken) and my mom has patience, but after the whole adjust and primp for 2 minutes prior to each shot my mom made the comment

"Jeez, I could have another birthday by the time you get your tits in order."
This then caused a rage of laughter, and then after we were all done wetting our pants, we had to re primp, adjust, rinse and repeat.

But they did take a cute picture. No?

I had these BAD. ASS. tattoos you put on. LOVED them!

So again I don't know what I was, besides full of scars, black spray in my hair, and this big robe thing I was wearing... any suggestions?
Happy Halloween to everyone!

Carve This!

My happy little family of 4 spent Spaghetti's weekend (Monday and Tuesday off) enjoying the local pumpkin farm (will post later) and then carving our pumpkins. It's a memory I have of my childhood that I want to pass on to my kids.

The memory of holidays. Halloween is my favorite holiday. This year it's a bittersweet one. Growing up my mom and dad always made Halloween fun. We would do the pumpkin farm, the carving, the whole house was decorated, trick or treating, and always a Halloween party with my cousins.

After High School it wasn't the same, we all worked, and didn't get together as much. And with my Aunt and Uncle passing away it makes it hard. But even harder is my cousin is in jail. Even though I haven't spent Halloween with all of them in years, it was still a Holiday that made me happy.

I must say during most of our carving, I told Spaghetti of all the memories of carving with my parents and my sister. I remember my dad and carving. He would never show his pumpkin till the end. He NEVER touched the guts, he would use a BIG serving spoon, scrap and then at once scoop out a HUGE pile of all the insides!

His insides of his pumpkin were perfect, his pumpkin face always great. All day on and off, my mom, myself and Frances would be sketching on paper to come up with our perfect face to carve. We would lay out a big table cloth, and after all the carving we always took pictures with our pumpkins.

So now Spaghetti and I move on to make those same memories with Bagel and Weaky.

Spaghetti is quite cheesy with his happy pumpkin carving smile!

Bagel was given dry erase markers and she went to town with them!

I saw in last years Martha Stewart (October issue) that she carved from the bottom, so I tried it.

Using a dry erase marker I drew on my face (love the fact that I can just wipe off, and start again if need be.

Bagel did this. I cried. She was able to draw a smiley face. Yet another milestone! STOP growing up young lady!!

This was her practice sheet.

Weaky spent the carving sitting in his high chair. Mostly observing, and telling Spaghetti what to do.

I was busy carving away...

So this was my big technique. I used vellum paper and drew on with markers my face. Then pinned them inside my pumpkin. (I did line the inside with foil, and I did use a tea light candle just for pictures. I'm afraid I will cause a fire with the paper, so I won't be keeping it lit)

But here is Spaghetti's and mine all lit up...

Spaghetti's...

Alex's was fun. I took the dried pumpkin seeds, some extra pins I had, and a marker.

Mia did this! I was SO proud of her and her smiley face!

Our family picture! I used the timer on the camera for the first time, and got a cute shot of us and our pumpkins! First year for the 4 of us carving! Thanks for the memories, can't wait for many more!!

Happy Halloween Bonanza, P!Nk.

Yeah, I rocked it. Eye makeup, hot pink hair, gutiar pick earings.
My concert tank that I love.
I was so damn excited about how awesome my costume turned out.
Here are my beloved Creative Maniacs at Stamp Camp, in my post-it note yellow art room. From left to right, Pipe and her "smart ass" costume, myself as "P!nk", the Queen as the "Scarecrow", L as the "Flu shot victim" Lego as a "Mummy" and her sister the official brown noser and hands down the winner (besides me) as a "Stamp Camper"!!

The projects were fun I will post them later. We had fun, food (Pipe brought a to die for cake for Queens birthday) and as always fun. Oh and D was there as "Supermom, somewhere between Paris and Martha" but she came about an hour after pictures were done!
Happy 4th annual Halloween Stamp Camp!

Halloween this year.

Funny, but not so funny. I have more and more friends that just can't afford to keep their home anymore. For us it's not the original house payment, its those fucking taxes. Seriously if Obama could really make it so we don't get our taxes raised, I would shit a brick. (then I would be retarded happy, like really retarded happy) Happy Halloween kids...

Bagels thoughts on Halloween decor.

Meet one of the triplets. Creepy I know. Yes he is huge, and he is one of three. Years ago, I found these three. And I bought them to decorate my new house. I fell in love with there big heads, and spooky eyes. I place two outside, on my mini flag holder. And one to scare you when you use my bathroom. (hung on a tack between the toilet and the sink)

But as Bagel and Spike get older, I fear them freaking out, and not liking my precious Halloween triplets. I thought I would get them out. Show Bagel and see what she thought of them...

As worried that I would have to make my poor triplets stay packed away for another year. She embraced them (literaly) and as soon as Spike was off to bed, she took full advantage of his saucer. I love my kids.

Happy Halloween Bagel!
