Purple Dentist

About 2 weeks ago was Bagel's first dentist appointment.

I was scared, nervous, and worried for her. I was afraid of what she would think of the ZZZZZZZ noise, the big chair, bright light, strangers. And worst of all... someone in her mouth! OMG, she HATES the doctor to just look in her mouth with the light. So this had to be worse!!

Bagel was excited, and looking forward to it. She just wanted to dig around in the HUGE cardboard treasure box of .10 toys that mommy would throw away after two days.

Bagel took one look at the big PURPLE chair, with the PURPLE office chair, the PURPLE cups, the PURPLE paper bibs, the PURPLE gloves... you get the picture? This doctor LOVES purple and for that I love her. So did Bagel.

Plus the doctor thought Bagel should wear her glasses to protect her from the bright light, and Bagel also had "Ticki" her blanket with her. So that big CHEESE grin above, is genuine. She was happy to go.

We had results of no cavities (phew) and a very good review, I need to start flossing her teeth too. BUT the only bad news is Bagel has a crazy under bite. She has a mouth like a Boxer. SO this means in January we will consult and have Bagel fitted for a rainbow "appliance" (I would call it a retainer) to realign her teeth.

Yes I know these are baby teeth, but the dentist said this will help her out with her braces when she gets them down the road. Oh yeah, we saw that coming. I am sure glasses will be soon too.

But she's a pretty optimistic kid when it comes to new things. Like her mamma. Thanks for being a good girl Bagel.
