Ewww... Cheetos

This is my fantastic sister. We call her Francis. This is a fun picture. She is eating one of her favorite foods, cheetos.

I have to say if your around Francis you have a great deal of empathy for her, (if your new around here go here and check out her story,) since she has such an impossible time eating because of her disorder.

NOW if your her sister. And that would be me. My job is to give her a hard time no matter what.
Don't get your "I Love Disabled People" bumper stickers in a bunch. I must say it was because of what we did prior to the eating of the cheetos that made this picture funny for us. Well more so funny for me then her.(and with out explaination, my parents and husband were completly baffled as to why I was pointing and giggling at my sister for eating cheetos, they just chalk it up to my random behavior. Or my giddy love for the Zoo)

So if you must know, and I won't keep you waiting any longer...

Francis and I were petting the sting rays. Over at the Sting Ray Bay. So we pet them, we even had a cool moment where we both held a big piece of shrimp and had a HUGE mother fucker of a sting ray come over and suck our hands till we sqeeled and let go of the shrimp, let me tell you it was awesome, yet terrifying to be sucked by a sting ray.

So then after our forever bonding sting ray shrimp sucking moment, we go to leave, well Francis is too cool for school and didn't want to wash her hands. I tell her she's gross, scrub up to my elbows (I had a 15 month old Bagel at the time and was a new mom with OCD issues) and we head over to mee the rest of the family. So we are walking along, and Francis goes into her back pack to get out some nummy cheetos.

She starts to eat them (you do see where I'm going with this right?) After Francis makes a dent in the bag, and is all orange fingered, I point to her and say. Did it ever dawn on you that you are eating sting ray cheetos?!? And I laugh. Then she laughs, spits out some cheetos, then we laugh some more. It's gross, but it's one of those moments, that makes me smile each time I see cheetos. Sting rays. Or Francis at the Zoo.

Spin Cycle: 6th photo Meme

I was doing my daily blog visiting, and while visiting one of my favorites, Tiptoeing Through The Tulips, I found she did this Meme, it was going into your pictures, and finding the 6th file, and pulling the 6th picture. No cheating.

Bah I always cheat at these, I mean who really knows but me right? BUT this time I wanted to try and not cheat. So this is what I got...

Arizona Trip 2007 was the file, and this great picture of Spaghetti and Bagel was what I got! It really shows the baby in her face, god that was almost 2 years ago! She was just 17 months, OMG! That's how old Weaky is now! Wow...

So this picture was taken when we went with the IL's Mc to Arizona, my MIL got sick and ended up at the hospital for the entire week, my family that lived there was all sick with the flu (thank god for that first day at Walmart, where Scuz dropped the water! and I did get the last day of the trip too, see the Cheesecake Factory below...) and, and it fricken rained. Yes we were right outside of Phoenix Arizona, and it rained the whole damn week.

Except this day, we were able to go to the Amazing Phoenix Zoo! I love that zoo, mostly for the monkeys. This was a.we.some. you go in, and the little organ grinder monkeys (can't think of their real names at the moment) are right there.

Right there as in this is NOT a zoomed in picture, this is with in reach, and there is NOTHING to keep them in, they actually ran right by Spaghetti's legs! We kept Bagel up high, just in case, but I was just amazed at this. I mean the Brookfield Zoo here in Chicago has the Butterfly house where they just free fly, but a monkey house? Too freaking cool.

Still my favorite Zoo to date. I still have to visit the San Diego Zoo, in Cali, from what I hear it's the bestest yet.

I love that picture of Spaghetti and Bagel, thanks for the great memory of that day. And how I was able to go back almost two years to see my baby girl again.

Sophia had her baby!

Hooray! The animal lover I am just got the news from the Chicago Brookfield Zoo that there's a new addition to Tropic World: Asia.

On October 6, Sophia Bornean Orangutan gave birth to a daughter. As you can see from the photo above, the mother-child duo is sticking close together.

Very close together—orangutan infants actually cling to their mothers. It's a habit that keeps them from falling when mom needs to use both arms to swing from one tree limb to another.

While the newborns presence in itself is enough to bring smiles to all observers, there's another reason to celebrate her birth. Bornean orangutans are endangered. So endangered, in fact, that the species is facing extinction in the wild unless there's a halt to the ongoing deforestation of their habitat for palm oil production.

This brought tears to my eyes to know that my Zoo has an endangered Orangutan baby! Congrats Sophia!

Wordful Wednesday

If I could freeze time. I would. Just to capture your innocence, your amazement, and your curiosity. You loved all the underwater viewing area's and I am glad that Aerial took us here, to the LPZ for my birthday. Love you Bagel. Mommy Feisty.

Well that was a post I just did, so I did today's date 10th file, and 12th picture. (nope not enough files) So I chose the kids birthdays (awww, she mentioned her kids...)

2 for Bagel and 25 for Spike. It worked. I got the trip to Arizona file from last year. Now hear is a bit about the picture...

This is Bagel (18 months) with Spaghetti and Grampa Mc, at the wonderful Phoenix Zoo. A place I love to visit! Not sure what animal was even there, but I saw a photo op, and went for it. It was December, and the only week it rained in months. This was the nicest day (and it still rained on the way home)
