21 days of me.

So I was thinking. This whole new me thing. This whole Go Big or Go Home attitude I've got for the new year. It's not such a bad idea. Might sound funny the way I word it. But 21 days into this year, and I am pop free, 3 lbs lighter, shiny sink each night, NO laundry on the floor, pickin' up after myself, attempting to budget and not blow each paycheck to the last dime kinda girl.

And I like it.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to be all those things. For some of you that may be an everyday norm. But for me it was hard to do each of those things.

Pop, sure we don't have it around the house, but if I was out, or in the mood. I would have it. 5 or 6 times a week, so it's still a sacrafice. Now it's water, coffee and o.j.

3 pounds. Well I am grasping at my 3 pounds with glee. I am taking it S.L.O.W.L.Y. I eat healthy...er... I eat healthy for breakfast, and lunch, I may or may not eat good at dinner, now I'm not sayin' a whole box of mac & cheese, that is SO 2009, more of small bowl of mac & cheese to humor me. Still 3 pounds and I'm still in the mental mindset to do this is awesome for me.

Shiny sink? Just ask the Flylady about that. She says she is proud of me and how I fly. She would be happy to know I have my dishes done, my coffee made with the timer set, table cleared so I can start my day shiny and new.

Laundry. Well if you read here at least once a week it seems I bitch about laundry. I loathe it. I get it, thought, it needs to be done. I am realizing that even with the 18 bags from just Spaghetti and I alone, not counting the 12 bags from Bagel, or 3 from Weaky, we still have a SHITload of clothes! BUT the rule is NO clothes on the floors! In baskets. Dirty or clean. I am getting better at doing laundry more often, (like everyday) because Flylady says if you don't it causes C.H.A.O.S. (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome)

El budgeto. Well I am better, we have $51.95 in savings. And that may be too much info, but lets face it I'm all about to much info and on that note that is $51.00 dollars more then we had last year. I try to keep SOME money in the account, paying bills, BUDGETING groceries, and gas, and attempting to keep a bit o' bucks around for a freezing rain day.

Right. So, so far 2010 has been doing well. And I'm proud of me. So let's bring a few more things in. Like for one thing, a work out plan. Yep, Mamma needs to start crunching and sqatting this fat away, time to bring out the pretty Gaiam purple ball, my pretty purple yoga mat with squiggly design on it. And the fun purple (do you see a pattern?) yoga blocks my dad got me for Christmas. Oh and my grey (they didn't have purple) band. I LOVE the band! Even if it's some yoga in the morning, I need to get a move on! (speaking of, Spaghetti is finally on the same track as me, he is two days into his P90X work outs and diet again!)

I also am proud to say, I have 2 more recruits with me and my Stampin' Up! business!! Score for me! That equals 3 downlines. I love it! I want to teach them and help them work twards goals, even if it's just for the discount!

Speaking of SU! I was recently referred by my upline to a special program for business development. I will find out soon if I am accepted! I think it will be good for me to try to keep growing with this!

Am as proud of myself, for setting little goals and achieving them. I still have more, but don't we all? I still need to work on less fast food (I guess once a week isn't bad, but it's not good for the budget either!) I need to get my but to bed earlier then 11 pm, which means I need to make Spaghetti's food and iron his clothes before 10 pm!!

I also would like to throw in there more scrapbooking and sewing projects done! So how are you doing after 21 days?

Bitches I lost weight!!

I did it twice just to check.
Make that 3 times.
I am proud of myself.
I really am.

What am I doing, would be the first question you ask?

Not working out. I feared that working out would push me to far to fast, and I would go back to my lazy ways again WAY too fast.

Eating you ask? Sure I eat. Little meals. Eggs, or toast, or oatmeal, or yogurt (youplait lights. Boston Cream Pie, or Strawberry Banana) or an english muffin for breakfast.
Lunch is tuna on toast, or salad, or sandwich.

Dinner is chicken, or pork. A veggie and one potato (covered in butter and cheese)

I eat nuts or popcorn, or cheese for snacks, I portion them out prior to sitting and eating.

Cheating? Sure just the other night I ate 4 slices of stuffed crust Pizza the Slut pizza. Sorry? Nope. I needed it. And I eat Taco Bell too. Not their "diet" shit either, I'm not going through a drive through for a light taco, I love Volcano Tacos and they love me. (plus both of the above foods tend to give me the shits, so it's a win win, nummy eats, and I shit out a bunch of weight afterwards)

I want to start working out soon, and now that my little weight loss is starting this will make it more encouraging to start. Gaiam ball it is, some OnDemand too. Whatever floats my boat that day. I am a random girl, so I need a random stlye of eating and working out.

Other big helps I think are I don't eat past 7 pm, should be 6 but I'm working on that. AND I go to bed (most nights) by 10, I loves me some sleep, and it's a nice pay off getting up early and being able to putz around the house before the kids get up.

AND I gave up pop. Sure when I eat Taco Hell or Pizza the Slut I really want Mt. Dew, but let's see how long I can go with this one. 17 days and counting!

So I may have started out slow, clinging to my macaroni pot and spooning it in my mouth right off the stove like a homeless man on a sandwich, but I've gotten better. Forcing myself won't work. But easing myself into this routine is working, fantabulously!!

Have a good week, and don't forget to Lose it Bitches!!

Check out my mohawk. I'm still fat and lazy.

Reasons NOT to be fat and actually participate in the diet challenges you are not participating in.

We've covered this. Your unhappy

You fit into NONE of your current clothes. Thank heavens for Chirstmas so you can get 2 pairs of jeans and a bigger hoodie to hide in. Fan.fucking.tab.u.lous.

Your starting to have ALOT of skinny friends. WAY more then before. And not because you have more friends either. But because your becoming the fat girl.

Everyone you know is doing kick ass at this dieting thing. Well besides yourself, and Spaghetti.
And unless I remove a limb I am NOT even placing in the top 5 of ANY of the above spoken groups. Well hell make that top 20.

You hear a bad ass song on the radio. One to really shake your ass to. And bet your ass 10 years ago I could. I dropped it like it was hot, I took on dance floor challengers, beat them, and was the hot chic on the stage/box/platform at the club. Or I was on the bar with the other girls. Now? After two kids? And an ass that could be compared to JLo on one side, and Kim Kardashian ont he other? I would A. Wet my pants in the process. B. Not get back up because my knees would fail my weight, and C. I don't remember any hot chics dancing in a Winnie the Pooh hoodie and sweats, because that's all that fits my ass right now.

I fear a reunion of any sorts, from any place in my life, is going to come up and I have to go looking like this. Bad enough I have major mom hair from growing out my mohawk, yes post partum the second time around gave me the balls to do this...
And so now I look like this...

Which is not hot. At. All.

And after reviewing last years pictures of me in sweats... lets just say you get the idea. Maybe a whole lotta shit talkin' of myself, in a combo of how good everyone else is doing, and a big dash of all their support and comments even though I have don't shit these last 11 days could move me to a routine of getting fit? AANNDD the fact that its 11:48 and WAY past my bedtime is not going to make tomorrow a good day to start.

I will update again with more whining about my lack o' participation and how big my ass still is at another time.

Lose it Bitch. The do over.

Check in day.

Alright so we had an original plan of starting the New Year off with a bang! To lose 30.5. aaaaaannnndd the results after week one are...

.5 lb lost! I went from 137.5 to to 137.

Alright so I kinda sorta maybe had a restart. On Thursday. So technicly today is only day 4 which I think a 1/2 lb is pretty good, don't you?

So lets back this food train up and go over my many excuses as to why I had to restart.

#1. Frances had her birthday party Wednesday. She turned 29 this last week, and the festivities were at my mom's house. Nuff said, it is NOT allowed to diet, or even attempt to do so at my mom's house. You are WAY to well fed. Plus there was a big fat French Silk Pie at the end waiting for me.

#2. Spaghetti wasn't motivated. WTF. Seriously? He is Mr. Motivated, all.the.time. He's the one doing the P90X DVD's weeks after I threw in the towel (we tried this in September through December. I lasted 2 weeks working out. And only 1 day eating their tofu turkey crap diet. I almost died) I need Spaghetti to be on board here!!

So those are my two lame o' excuses. But they are mine and I'm stickin' to them. Spaghetti promised me that after Frances' birthday we would be on track. He still is not.

That leads us to Thursday. I had my coffee, my scrambled eggs in a tortilla (I made the kids eat thier pancakes in the t.v. room so I didn't have to watch them. I had a ham & cheese sandwich, for lunch and chicken for dinner with a small potato (mind you I savored each moment of potato)

So both Friday and Saturday were close to the same menu. I am just cutting carbs back ALOT. And I have been 10 days now with no pop. Probably helps I get my coffee fix in though.

So Day 4 is here, I need to start working out more, I like my Gaiam ball routine, and when Spaghetti gets on board I will be throwing in some P90X on occasion.

Alright that's it. Here's hoping my fat ass can stay on track! Check out the Lose It Bitches site to see more!

Let's bring Sexy Back

Once apon a time the Queen of Feisty, or Feisty as we all know her, was a skinny bitch.

People often asked her if she ate at all! She was skinny, pretty and never made the comments skinny bitches make. You know the ones about being "SO FAT" when they don't EVEN know the begining of fat. She knew better. She loved her flat tummy, and the ability to wear bootie shorts.

This was the day I found out I was pregnant with Bagel. I being the mad rubber stamper I am, stamped "baby" onto my tummy. I appologized to my tummy, and said it would be a long time till it was the pretty was it was here. Mind you I was a whole 11 lbs heavier then I wanted to be here! (at 118)

But this tummy was SO nice. SO very nice. I've always had a bootie, but as long as my tummy was skinny, I didn't care. (don't ask about the picture. Another story. Another time. I promise)

And then I had Bagel. Who was made of McD's Breakfast Burrito meal (2 burritos, 1 hashbrown, and 1 large coke) WHOLE packages of cinnimon rolls (the gooey ones you make in the oven. MMM) Dumplings, are you getting the picture? I took it upon myself to eat whatever I wanted because I could. And because I had to grow me a baby. I got myself up to a sexy 164.

Fast forward to being pregnant with Weaky. This is me at 25 weeks, I had lost almost ALL of Bagel's baby weight, I got pregnant with Weaky at 122, got back up to 167. After Weaky my postpartum hit me hard. I wasn't in the mood to diet, or even give a shit.

With a 22 month old, and a one month old I almost went insane. Spaghetti was working 3 jobs and only slept when he was home. It was up to me to care for the house, the kids, the dogs, the cats, and myself. Whom by the time I got to me I just wanted to sleep.

Remember this picture from earlier in this post. See those jeans? Size 5. Check me out below in them now...

...

...

...

Yes those are them. And yes that is my black underware you see. My fat thighs stuffed in so I can't breath, but let's note the cute shirt. Mind you I bought that shirt the first time Spaghetti and I went to the mall together, 11 years ago. It was on clearence from Amberskinny & Bitch for like $5. Yes it was a half shirt on me then. But now it's barely a sports bra.

Let's point out that sexy ass belly that hangs over my pants. I am gross. I make myself sad. And repulsed. I haven't even gotten to the fat arms or my fat neck.

Either way here I am weighing in at...

(sorry to make you have to turn your heads)

137.5. I've got 30.5 lbs to go.
Lose it Bitch is SO on.
Like Donkey Kong.

Namaste

Good Morning!

For all of you that don't know, I am on the road to a better me! To put it bluntly? Lose the fat, lose the lazy, lose the overdrafting bum that was me! (starting today!)

I woke before my coffee! Coffee is set for 7:15, I was up at 7:03! It's big for me, I was getting up closer and closer to 9 am. And the kids would be the ones yelling for me to get up from their rooms!

So back to my exciting schedule... up, went downstairs, filled the dogs water, food bowls, then went to the basement to let them out, feed the cats, switch out laundry.

Carried up laundry, then did my AM Yoga on OnDemand, it's a short 15 minute wake up yoga. But it's a start.

Chugging my big water bottle, I will have coffee, that is not an available option for giving up right now. But I am giving up pop. (yikes! But if Spaghetti can, the guy who would drink 8 cans or more a day who cold turkey gave it up in September!!) And I don't drink but maybe a can a day. Be gone with you dirty soda pop! BE GONE!! (I will miss you. Mt Dew and Dr. Pepper)

So now what?

I am going to get Bagel from her room, we can shower, then go get Weaky for breakfast. I am actually hungry for eggs. I also need to go to the store, we are short on good foods around here.

So, I'm proud I got up early. I'm proud of my routine so far, and I have to take baby steps to get to where I'm going. Each day, hell each hour I have to check in with myself, and remind myself how proud I am that I didn't suck so far.

So Happy Official New Year Resolution Day!

If anyone cares 5' lil ol me is...

I had better be super hot, and have a HGTV worthy house in 90 days

I have less then 24 hours till the day. The day where veggies and fruit smoothies, more protein and but one carb a day becomes my life.

I have 24 hours till the work out begins. I am one of those people that needs to psych myself up for this kind of stuff. Planning and mentally telling myself this is the plan.

Spaghettti and I spent hours yesterday, going over the diet plan, making grocery lists, and figuring out what we still needed to do for the big day.

We figure if we start on September 24th it will take us to December 24th just in time to look fanfuckingtastical for Christmas. Not to mention we have a sick head start on all the new years resolution people!

I am optimistic that we can do this, I need to be. I made a deal with Spaghetti and he with me that we will stick to the diet AND the work out EVERYDAY. If for some reason one of us breaks the rule of both diet and work out, we have to do our punishment.

Spaghetti's punishment for slacking will be giving me a backrub for the length of the work out session he skipped. My punishment is... well Spaghetti will benefit, and it ain't no damn back rub. Believe you me, I WILL be doing my work out and eating what ever the diet says, or as Spaghetti put it. "I've got a protein shake for ya" nice honey, real nice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In other news Spaghetti and I also discussed the housework. Or the lack there of.
Alright if you come over to my house, you know what I mean, I am not dirty gross, but I am sloppy messy. I have THE worlds best husband when it comes to this. He NEVER says Boo about the mess, the dishes or the insane laundry issue I have.
But when I bring the subject up, he politely says "Well I don't want to sound like a dick, but you can schedule 7 hours to work on scrapbooking, but you can't pick up, or do the dishes, or the 5 baskets of laundry that has been there for weeks? Oh and while we are on the subject, I haven't seen my pool table in 6 months. What is all that shit on there anyway?"
Alright. Alright. So I tend to use the "two toddlers, two dogs, two cats" excuse ALOT, and if I really want to do something I can. BUT in my defense scrapbooking is WAY more fun the housework.
But I want to come home to a clean, organized house. I do need a dumpster, and a plan to just pick up after myself, and get rid of all this extra crap!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hope you have a fan-fucking-tastical day. I have to make lunches, go pick up the new Vue from the shop (they had to take out a few scratches we found) and go shopping for the big day tomorrow.

We set a date.

Not for a wedding or a big fun party.

The big day.

The P90X day.

The day when happy ends, and some serious work out and eating healthy begins.

Thursday September 24th.

For 90 days. Till December 24th.

I have been reading the fitness guide, as well as the nutrition guide.

I have a chart to check off each day that we do good.

I will hope to either blog on "Happy New You" my food and exercise, or in the journal that Spaghetti will be keeping.

We seriously sat down yesterday and went over diet, and exercise, when and what will be going on.

We think when the kids nap, and Spaghetti is home from work (around 3pm) we can do this together.

I do not think this will be fun. I know for a fact that most forms of exercise are sucky, but I am pretty sure we just bit off a big bite of "this is going to suck ass"

But even if it does suck ass. If I can lose the 30 lbs that haunt me. If we can get as fit as this says we can. I am secretly excited. Scared. But excited...

5 days left...

For a head tilting good time

I started this blog called "Happy New You" in January. It was a dieting, work out blog that I wanted separate from my "InSaNiTy At ItS bEst" blog.

I took about 7 months off of it. But for a humorous approach on yet another attempt to get it right. Go to... my post on scratching and tilting my head "Happy New You"

Happy Thoughts

For the day I have some happy thoughts...

  • Last night I found an envelope in the bathroom with my name on it. Inside was a pink card. With just a small shiny red heart on the front, with the words "Love you" below it. Inside was this saying "...funny how two words can take up so little space on a card, but full up all the space in my heart..." under it was written I'm sorry I missed Valentines Day! Have fun at the Britney show Love Spaghetti. We didn't do anything really for V-Day, I had made him a card, and bought us a new bedspread ($40 at Aldi!) and cleaned and rearranged our bedroom. The card made me happy.
  • My IL's took Bagel last night, they are going shopping with her today, and coming over for a family dinner tonight.
  • Just Weaky and I went to McD's for breakfast, Starbucks for coffee, then to the store for stuff for dinner. I love just one on one dates with my kids.
  • I am excited about the upcoming "Plate for All Seasons" stamp camp I am planning. (I will post pictures later) The class is this Wednesday night, lots of work!
  • My sales for the quarter are crazy! And I am one happy demonstrator for it!
  • It has been 28 days since I had pop. Just coffee, water and tea for me!

And the big one?

I got on the scale today... let me tell you I started eating healthier on Feb. 2nd... I was 136 lbs... this morning I was... 127.5.

I cried. 8.5 lbs? Gone? I can move to the second notch on my belt, I feel better. My tummy is looking better, but I always lose in my tummy first and my legs and butt are still very... um, over healthy... I still have 20 lbs to lose. If I just keep trying...

Hope you have happy thoughts of the day, Weaky is napping so I must go clean house for dinner later!

Check me out.

I have been back and forth on the idea of having different blogs for the different topics in my life.

I have a blog for the house "Where Do I Begin?"

I have this blog, Spaghetti and Bagels, here for my everyday.

And I started this one "Happy New You" to log my everyday diet, and work out.

I was going to post them all here on Spaghetti and Bagels, but I tend to post so much here, I didn't want to have the few readers I do have reading pages and pages of blogs a day!

So that brings me to my 3 blogs. I enjoy having them separate, it's easier to focus the subject at hand. The other two are shorter, and not updated as much. But if you want to follow along with my organizing of this chaos of a house, or how my diet is doing, check out the other two blogs.

I did just start eating super healthy and working out so check out the "Happy New You" for new updates

If not stick here with me, on Spaghetti and Bagels.
