Happy Thanksgiving!

Alright I know, A.MAZ.ING that I have TODAY'S pictures up, today. Right? I am a freak with this new little SD card reader thingy. I even uploaded them to my mom's laptop before I left her house tonight. And BLAM she's got a whole Holiday worth of pictures!!

SO after I give thanks to my beloved little SD card reader, and go dry hump it in the corner of the room. I can share with you all the excitement of my Turkey day!

See Carrots carving (with what looks to be his eyes closed, he's that good!) and the Queen being all snuggly nice to him! (general rule, be nice to the person with the big carving knive, right?)

AND check out this bad ass book that the Queen got for the kids. Yep, it's the Hallmark Night Before Christmas one, that my mom spent WELL over an hour recording her voice into the book to read the pages to the kids. TOO much fun!!

While I helped mom I did sneak down to the basement to catch Papa and Bagel watching t.v. how cute!

My sister Francis and I all cheesy for the camera!

Here is my MIL Gramma Mc playing with the kids

And Bagel and Weaky trying to sqeeze onto the same little stool (it resulted in tears and screaming)

They did however fit onto the little bench, BUT somehow Weaky lost his pants. It's a common occurance around our house.

After the BIG fat dinner (picture home made Ravioli's a big ass turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, cranberries, corn, biscuits, and apple sauce), the Queen slaved over, we all sat down to eat Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, and Tutle ice cream cake!
Here is the Queen, Bagel and Gramma Mc enjoying some!

Papa is snuggly with the Queen now. Awww...

And Spaghetti and I enjoyed some time with our families, while he was between jobs. Thanks for working so hard for us. I love you.

Overall it was a great day, I talked to some of my cousins, and just enjoyed a nice day of family and great food. The craft project (my donation to the day) was we made these little booklets and each person had their names on one. You take turns passing the books around, and everyone signs the books with nice notes, thoughts or stories about each other. Then you take your book home to read later. I love these books! They turned out great!

For all my family and friends all over the country, Real life ones, or my Bloggy world ones, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

To all of our angels watching over us. We miss you SO much. Our first Turkey Day with out Ed's Gramma M. whom we lost on Spaghetti's Birthday this year. Uncle T. it was to fast, and to soon.

Gramma Wanda, I miss you everyday, Happy Birthday today. Love you.
Grampa John, you've been gone 11 years. I miss you so.
Gramma A. It will be 3 years Saturday the 28th you've been gone.
Happy Annivesary to you Grampa John, and Gramma A. today.

To all my other family and friends gone from this world. I love you. Happy Turkey Day!

Thanks sleepy guy

Today is the day to be Thankful
I am thankful for so many things. For my home, for my clothes, for the food on my table. For the ability to stay home and raise our kids, and the ability to be the house wife.

And because of the sleepy guy up there, also known as Spaghetti. This is how he will spend some of his holidays. Catching sleep between jobs.

See he is normally home, picking up just a few hours here and there at the video store. But durring the Holidays they need him. So from today through Sunday he will be working doubles. 8 hours at his day job, then up to 6 hours at his evening job, with just a few hours inbetween for family.

Thank you Spaghetti. You are an amazing husband, best friend, and father. We love you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Hope your day is filled with happy memories and lots of carbs!
(p.s. I switched on blogger to the newer one. But I can't seem to find the spell check... umm... that is a small issue for me... anyone?)

Piss your pants funny

I know I just did a sentimental Thanksgiving post, but there is no fun in a Holiday without our humor and funny moments. Enjoy!

  • Queen and Spaghetti are trying to get Bagel's coat on to leave. Spaghetti says he is doing it faster, Queen says no she is, Spaghetti again argues that he is doing just fine. Queen again argues that she is doing better at getting Bagel's coat on. Then Queen asks Bagel, who is doing a better job. Bagels response... "Look at this bench"... nice kid, way to avoid conversation and eye contact.
  • I thought my MIL and Spaghetti's Gramma were going to piss them selves laughing at me and the Queen trying to put glitter on a star ornament. I think the funniest part was that my mom can decorate, and cook circles around Rachel Ray and Martha Steward, but she got stuck on the glitter...
  • On the way out, as everyone was getting ready to pack up the kids and leave, I back into the kitchen and fart really loud. My dad sternly looks at me and says "Nice, real nice. Couldn't you have taken that outside with you? I really hope you trapped that in your pants for later"
  • As we were cleaning off the table, and no one was looking (but me!) I saw my MIL grab with her hands a big ass ravioli and stuff it into her mouth. I guess they were that good.
  • I don't think anyone left tonight without being covered in glitter.
  • I also watched "Step Brothers" with Spaghetti when we came home, talk about fuckin' funny. I about died in the beginning. "Your voice is like Fergie and Jesus" rent it, it was vulgar, retarded funny, and just ridiculous, but we laughed so damn hard.
  • My sister, Frances, learned that if she does not want Bagel to play with all of her 204 crayons and unorganize her color coordinated drawers of crayons. She probably should bring them out to play.

How about you? Got anything funny?

Toast to Turkey Day

Turkey Day was awesome. I started out with some morning coffee, and blogging. A shower, then getting the stuffing made and off to my mom's. My mom, dad, and sister all worked to get as much dinner as we could prepped and ready, so when Spaghetti, Gramma and Grampa Mc, and Spaghetti's grandparents came with my our two (they stayed over so I could clean house last night)

Before everyone arrived, and after the dinner was pretty much ready to go, I went out on the back deck, to sit (yes it was a beautiful 50 degrees out today) I sat, and watched the grey squirrels play in the woods.

As I sat and watched them, I saw them run over by the two concrete deer. We call them John B. and Alice. My Gramma A and Grampa John B. they were there yard ornaments, that my parents moved here when my Gramma moved out, and would see them when she stayed at my parents house on the weekends.

I sat and thought about Grampa John B, and his need to hurry up so he could go home and feed the dogs. Or Gramma A. and her job on T-Day was to make the gravy, and we would eat her recipe of homemade ravioli's.

I remembered Gramma W. and how I missed her so, even after 18 years of her being gone.

I looked out under the pine trees, to see the statue of St. Frances, that is over our beloved and missed Punkie, and Citgo. Not forgetting Shadowlina, Kitter, and Moses too. Cats from our life.

I wondered how the day would go. If we would have fun, if it would all go smoothly. It was better then I thought.

Everyone arrived, surprised to find me and my mom, in the woods, throwing old apples into the woods for the squirrels. We came down to great everyone.

Walking into the house, there were ohhs, and ahhs, over the Turkey and yummy food smells that filled my mom's house.

The guys hurried down stairs to the basement, to see my dad's new pool table, and how he hung all his old records to the walls to decorate.

All of us girls, we worked in the kitchen. Dinner was excellent as always, and after we picked up. The guys made a bee line for the recliners, football, and a warm fire.

Us girls took over the dining room, as we introduced my MIL, and Spaghetti's Gramma, to our family tradition of craft time! (shocker I know) every year, I come up with a different craft for us to do for the day. We made ornaments from chipboard and scrapbook paper. Covering the greater half of my mom's dining room into a glitter bonanza!

After hours of glitter, glue and paper, my IL's left with Gramma and Grampa. Leaving me to enjoy Spaghetti and the kids, with my parents. Best news, the Video store didn't need him to come in today. So he stayed at my parents house with us.

Memories were made, laughter was heard, stories were shared, all over great food. Thanks mom for hosting, serving the most amazing spread, as always.

Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you all had a nice day too.

No. Thank you.

I am thankful for...

  • Myself. No really. I like who I am, and for the most part where I am in my life. I like what I stand for and that I am a strong person.
  • Spaghetti. Of coarse I must mention my other half. The half of me that supports me, and I love his values and love for his family.
  • Bagel. Love her sassy attitude, her demanding, and charming ways. Her spirit and her energy. (it's alot like looking in a mirror)
  • Spike. This little man, steals more and more of my heart every day. I love his smile, his hugs (yes I know a 7 month old doesn't really "hug" but there hugs to me) I love his babbling, and his love for a good 12 hour nights sleep.
  • Ding and Dong. Lovem', can't live with out them. These two 70lb brindle boxer monkeys are my big babies. And I am thankful for there company and there endless love for me.
  • Thing 1 and Thing 2. How can you not love cats? I mean of coarse they barf, and pee on things, and scratch and bite, but seriously. I love to sit on the couch at night, with both my girls fighting for my lap.
  • Blogger. Yes may seem funny to most, but I am to assume the majority of my readers are bloggers themselves. Blogger is an escape, a place to empty my head, and just get it all out. And thanks to SITS, it's a place to meet other bloggers just like me, to make friends, and read that I am not going insane, that we are a lot more alike then we thought.
  • Aerial. Yes my one friend. I have many friends, but Aerial is like a sister to me. She listens, and well go back and read her birthday post for more, but she fits the words "best friend" like a BFF should.
  • Queen, Carrots and Frances. My family. Mom, Dad, and sister too. Love them, knowing that that was my original family of 4, I love to spend as much time with them as I can. Enjoying old memories as we create new ones.
  • Gramma and Grampa Mc. Or otherwise know as my IL's. Awesome people, of coarse since the made my Spaghetti, they are giving and loving. And I thank them for it.
  • Scuz. Surprised? You shouldn't be. She and I are kindred spirits, we are one in the same, finishing each others sentences. The fact that she is my favoritest cousin of all, but sadly the farthest away (not counting Maggie in Ireland) and as the economy eats through any airfare money either of us had. Visiting is hard. But I am Thankful for you Scuz. Muah.
  • Old friends. Mudd D Pimp, and Maternal Chandler, I gots mad love for these two. We have been around each others lives, in and out at times, but for the greater part of the last 25 years. Thanks ladies.

That is who, I am thankful for. Now for some random other things I am thankful for...

  • My Art room. My escape from reality, and my happy place. Yes my post-it note yellow basement.
  • The t.v. room. Again a basement room, the other 1/2. Filled with two overstuffed, love seat recliners, a flat screen t.v. and my Ding and Dong. Spaghetti's happy place
  • The loft. I love my loft, it is at the second floor, it is in between the kids rooms, over looking the front t.v. room, and open to the pool room in the back of the house. This room holds my dear computer, and is home to my cats Thing 1 and Thing 2.
  • Scrapbooking, a newer hobby that I have learned that I love.
  • Coffee. On which my sole survival on a day to day basis depends on.

I am sure there are a ton more. But that is all the time I have, I must go make stuffing, and head over to me Madre's house! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you have a happy and safe Holiday!
