Let. It. Be.

Let it be July 11

I had a cousin. Her name was Jenna. She was 31 and died this last winter of brain cancer. She was brave. Always optimistic. Her mom, herself, and her sister all got matching tattoos that read ‘Let it be’ from the Beetles song.

Not saying they were big Beetles groupies, but they liked the idea behind the song, and to not sweat the small stuff.

They threw a party in Jenna’s memory, and at that party a friend made necklaces out of pop tops, with an image of a peach (Jenna’s nickname was Peaches) and it said ‘Let it be’ over it.

I wear it often, because lately I’ve had to channel my inner Jenna, to remind myself that life is to short to sweat the details, the childish behavior of some people, the petty fighting, the name calling. It’s all to much anymore.

My life is too short to fight over this. My energy is not worth the anxiety. My children don’t need me back in ‘ANGRY MOM’ mode. It’s just not fair.

I took this picture of myself last night. I was sitting on my parents fireplace ledge. I was happy to be celebrating my birthday, but mentally exhausted from the weeks before of all the drama around what is supposed to be the planning of a trip to the happiest place on earth.

I am strong. I am tired. I am done. I’m tired of insults. Of words that hurt. Of crushed souls. Of greed. Of hate. Of who’s side are you on?  I want to ‘Let it be’. In the words of Jenna, Carol and Tess… oh and the Beetles… can we please just ‘Let it be’

Sunday's Soap Box

Happy Sunday to you all! I must say I am sad that I missed my F you Friday post, but instead it will be combined with my Sunday's Soap Box... enjoy!

Dear Old Fuck in the Dr.'s office parking lot,

I am not sure if you noticed the large amount of snow that is retardedly plowed around the medical group lot? Or the fact that there are about 20 parking spaces for about 80 cars?

Or that when I did get out of the car, I was sporting the "hostile woman without coffee, running late, haven't eaten yet look?"

You must have missed that.

So because I chose to invent my own parking spot at the end of a row, you feel the need as you are LEAVING the fucking lot (leaving folks, yes leaving. SO my new and improved parking spot is of no concern to this ass hat) you need to roll down your window and yell..

"Hey stupid bitch. That is not a fucking parking spot!"

... there was no pause from me. The spew that came from my mouth had no hesitation, I was not witty, but I was crude. I responded with...

"Listen here, you cock sucker, mother fucker, ass hole. In no fucking way does my fucking parking have any fucking thing to do with you! So go fuck yourself. You old ass douche bag mother fucker"

... he pulled back in shock. And drove away.

Yes I was loud. Yes I was vulgar. But if you know anything about me, or any mom at that stress level, I had no food (I am hypoglycemic*) I had no coffee, and I was running late. Plus after the wellness check up I was headed of to get my tooth grounded to nothing to be fitted with my temp. crown. Not excited to say the least, about the day ahead of me.

I was by myself because we took separate cars, I fell behind Spaghetti who had the kids, I needed to catch up, because he couldn't check Weaky in with out the new medical card, that I had.

Needless to say I did catch up to Spaghetti, he was lucky enough to view my ever so unattractive fit of rage in the parking lot.

Embarrassed? Nope. He was though, made me feel bad for swearing. Fuck that, that guy was a douche bag, and needed to know that I will not have some old ass fuck rip me a new one because he is having a shitty day.

My parents were at the doctors office too, with Frances (she fell down the stairs last week) thank GOD they didn't hear me. But my dad did say he was concerned that the old guy could have pulled a gun on me (the paper had a story bout a guy who fell in Chicago, and these strangers were laughing at him. So he pulled a gun and shot one in the ankle)

I told my dad the asshole was lucky I didn't have the gun, since I was clearly the loony in the situation.

Either way. Fuck you to the old ass fucker, keep your retarded opinions to yourself. This little pixie is way to Feisty of a mother fucker to be reckoned with.

And thanks to no one for your support that day. A simple hug would have been better then acting like I was an embarrassment to the world.

Thanks to the random receptionist who also had to hear my story (I edited out all the words and just said I was upset and yelled back) your empathy meant alot to me.

And to Aerial who is also hpyoglycemic and totally got me. And said she would have done the same. That is why your my girl, and you get me.

*Hypoglycemic (not diabetic, they tested me with both kids)

But here are the symptoms?

The symptoms can be different depending on how low your blood sugar level drops.

Mild hypoglycemia can make you feel hungry or like you want to vomit. You could also feel jittery or nervous. Your heart may beat fast. You may sweat. Or your skin might turn cold and clammy.
Moderate hypoglycemia often makes people feel short-tempered, nervous, afraid, or confused. Your vision may blur. You could also feel unsteady or have trouble walking.

If I bolded something, that is my symptoms. It's usually cause of not eating. I know my dad has it too. It sucks, but as long as I eat I am ok.

Manic Monday on Saturday

What is the biggest mistake you made in 2008 and will not make again in 2009?
I had a blog. I started it in February of 2007. It had to go into hiding. There was to much angry comments made by me, about family. Resulting in me STILL getting subscriptions in my name to magazines, books sent to my door, and more brochures on travel then one could want. I did find out the person. It's my cousins dirty baby mama (not married, but they continue to accidentally breed) she hates his family and chooses to start drama. Nasty.

Since then I closed my old blog, and started up Spaghetti and Bagels. Hence all the nicknames for everyone. AND very few people read my blog that know me personally. Just Queen, Carrots, Frances, Aerial, Iowa, Maternal Mirth, All that Drama, and D. Mudd Pimp. I think a few others, Penguin, and Spaghetti at times.

I just really enjoy the random friends I have made here in the blog world, and would rather know what you have to say.

Do you make New Year's resolutions? Why or why not?
Sure do. I think it's good to make some goals in life. Not saying I will stick to them, but some sort of attempt is there.

Who do you nominate as “Man or Woman of the Year” for 2008?
Man of the year? Shocker. Obama.

Why? Well same reasons why this mama is for Obama, I truly think we can change this Nation. I know it won't happen over night, or in 4 years. He's got a lot of mess to clean up. I think he was amazing in all his speeches, and am proud that in just two weeks he will be the next President of the US!
What was your greatest accomplishment in 2008?
Birth of Weaky Spike Mc on April 25th at 4:06 pm.

That and being able to keep my sanity with two kids, two big dogs, two pissing cats, and a whole house to myself. Since Spaghetti works Nights full time, days partime, and sleeps inbetween, every baby shift, dog barf, cat piss, and dirty butt, are all on my shift. (98% of the time) he is very hands on when he can, but most of it's for me.

I give myself a big pat on the back, and even though there is clutter everywhere, and laundry out the ying yang, I am still working twards a better home.
