Shredded cat barf

So as I go to my computer I slip in cat barf... I find the rest of the barf, and step over it. I only have a few precious minutes to read email and or blog, before the rest of the house hears or smells that I am awake.

Wiping cat barf from the bottom of my foot, I sit in my chair. A minute later I hear a rustling sound, it was thing 2 climbing into the shredder... well since she slid into the garbage can part, she should be fine right? Thing 1 is watching it all from the cat tower, and in the distance I can hear Thing 3 barfing in the living room...

Sigh... it's going to be one of those days.

Are you chewing on my hair?

The battle for mommy continues.
When I play with Spike, Bagel whines. When I play with Bagel, Spike cries.

(Bagel and Spike playing nice... at the moment)

When I sit by Ding. Dong give me that look. When I play with Dong, Ding comes over sits on my lap (all 60 lbs) and pushed Ding away.

(Ding in the back, Dong right up front, at Queen and Carrots big ass yard)

And normally Thing 1 and Thing 2 don't fight over me. But now that Thing 3 is staying with us for the week, she thinks that I am hers. Well Thing 1 has some news for her. At this moment, as I type this, Thing 3 is sitting between me and the keyboard.

(Lucy in the sun)
And thing one is sitting on the back of my chair, chewing on my hair. Thing 2 is confident that I love her, and is claiming the cat tower.

(Thing 1 in the grey fur suit, and Thing 2 in the stripped tiger suit)

I feel the love here. What better then to be needed by so many creatures at once? And Spaghetti wonders why I need to run away some days. (Usually to scrapbook those I just ran away from!) No really as insane as it gets around her, I really love all the furry and not so furry children I have, that fight for me. I know I have 2 children, but I am the proud mom of 6 (7 this week)

Love you all, Mommy.

Hot dates with cleaning, picture taking, vomit, coffee, the shits, a concert, family, books and shopping.

(This is how I feel. Cute picture of Ding though...)

You missed me! Didn't you? I know Chandler did! Funny thing is since I had started blogging way back in February of 2007, I would post every few days, and as time went by, I would blog more and more each day. Funny thing is, it was late Saturday night when I posted last, and it being Tuesday at 8:15 at night, feels like forever! Like weeks!

So this is what I have been up to...

Saturday was normal ish, The Queen and Carrots came over to pick up the kids. For Spaghetti and I had a hot date night planned.

We met his family at a cute little Irish Pub for dinner and the best Country Rock ever. (now if you know me, and if you don't just turn your speaker up. I listen to Britney Spears, P!nk, and nowhere on there is Country. But alas my readers if there is Country music to be heard, here it is...) We were there to see the Drew Davis Band. (I have a whole post to do on them.)

After an end of concert show, they wrapped it up around 2 am, we headed home, crashing around 3:30 am. Next day, Spaghetti and I had a great breakfast date, then he was off to work, and I was off to the store, then to pick the tots back up again.

Sunday night consisted of hanging out with the kids, then watching the new Brendon Frasier movie about the Center of the Earth, it was good. I had a hard time at first with the 3D glasses, because of my motion sickness. But after about 35 minutes I was better adjusted. Good movie, worth renting (oh, and since Spaghetti has the Video store job, they have a perk of getting the new releases for free 4 days before they come out, so they watch them and know about them. Yipiee for us! He also rented Jenna Jameson's and Tito Ortiz's Zombie Stripper movie, shucks I fell asleep for that one.)

Monday was insane. Spike had his 6 month Dr. appt. at 9:00 am, that is insanely early for us, not to mention the scheduled day ahead to plan for. He got two shots in each leg, he was NOT happy. We also thought we would go ahead and get Bagel the flu shot too. (but it was the nasal one) again not happy. (and we got the one with out something that began with a T... the "non" autism one... did that make sense?) So I had two really pissed off kids, and my amazing mom and dad, were in the lobby of the Dr. office waiting to take them to there home.

Spaghetti and I had yet another hot date. First we had a date with the Dentist, our teeth cleaning. Now we normally go every 6 months. Well since I was busy making babies, I skipped. lets say... 4 years!! I didn't know it was so long! Well, shit, by the 5, yes 5 cavities I have. I will more then make up for it.
Then, the day just gets more and more fun. We had a hot date for cleaning the house. (booooo!) Now he tried to get me to procrastinate, and just go lay in bed and watch movies, all of it sounded amazing. But the mountains of clutter, paperwork, clothes and just crap, have been getting to me. So I agreed on a small procrastination. We got home at 1:45 pm, and we would start at 3:00 pm. He went to hang out with the dogs, and chill.

I called my friend Kiki (scrapbook friend) and picked her up from the laundry mat, and we headed to the local scrapbook store, to RSVP our seats for the November Friday night crop! In our conversation, I find out that Kiki is a HUGE OCD organized freak, clean and all. So she tells me if I need her help in organizing she can, but to beware, she has made people cry before. Yikes!

I will post on my other blog all about the cleaning date. But it was long, shitty, and tiring. Queen and Carrots brought home the monkeys, we all elbow danced, Queen and Carrots left. Bagel and Spike were off to bed. I thought I would clean more. But I was just wore out. I won a bet with Spaghetti, enjoying half of my hour long back rub. (What is the capitol of Florida. I won!) I passed out, and went up to bed at 10.

Oh what a night, I was up tossing and turning for what seemed like hours, my back was out, sore, and Spike was up too. I went and got Spaghetti up to take care of Spike (not something I normally do. I usually get the kids no matter what.) I went back to bed, Spaghetti feeding Spike, and finally coming to bed around 4 am.

This morning was another rat race. Up at 8:00 am, we had to get ready for Spikes 6 month pictures. Sigh, off to my IL's house, to get them, transfer the car seat over to there van (they only have one) so we could all ride together. Bah! I hate, loathe and despises car makers and car seat makers. Douche bags.

After what seemed like way to much fun, Spaghetti and I finally got both car seats in the van. Everyone piled in. I drove. (Yes I will post the pictures of the cutest little man ever!!) Pictures done, Bagel throws a fit, I buy her shoes (Crocs with the fur in them!) Spike some socks, and a winter hat.

We then go eat at a very non kid friendly restaurant. (bite my ass) and after a rough start with two grumpy kids, we have a nice lunch. Back to the IL's I divvy up the pictures, we hang out for a bit. Deciding what we are going to do with Thing 3 (there cat) while they are in sunny Arizona on vacation for 10 days. I personally though why waste gas, just take her now, but everyone votes me out saying it's too crazy. Bah, I got your crazy...

Anywho, we again pack up the kidlets, and head home. Oh and not before getting me a Venti Peppermint Mocha extra hot. I drink all the way home. Everyone else sleeps. Nice.

NOT! We get home, I am to dizzy to walk. I have the shits and feel as if I could barf at any moment! Boo on a bad Mocha. Bitches! I felt like shit. Plus after feeding the cats and dogs, Ding eats to fast, and then vomits all her food up, on, yes on the back sliding door. (now understand this is a big dog, so were talking man sized barf.) What was I to do? Spaghetti was tired, and has to work night shift tonight, so he needs to sleep. Between feeling faint, shitty, and barfy, I was able to carefully fed both Spike, and Bagel, and put them to bed. Thank god for and insanely busy two days. The kids welcomed sleep. (and with a dustpan, you can just slide the dog vomit onto it...)

Around 7 I took a hot bath, enjoying some more of Bella and Edward. A little over half way. LOVE IT. And I just found out that the movie coming out on the 21st of November, is on the first book. I will SO be done with it by then! Wee!

So I just got out of the tub, I am still dizzy, the shits are gone, and I never did barf.

I have some catching up blogs to post. On cleaning, but that will go to my "Where do I Begin?" blog, and I need to do the Manic Monday questions, and a post on the Drew Davis Band. Sorry I ditched out on you all.

I am fine. Thank you.

A Pissing Contest.

Between my beloved Thing 1 (grey) and Thing 2 (tiger) being on team #1

And this handsome little devil, Spike, is contestant #2.

Now my issue. It is that all pissing is happening in Spikes crib. Spike is just a wee man, at 5 months and 3 weeks. So even though he is in his super absorbent diapers, he still soakies the crib almost every night.

Now for T1 and T2, they have other motives to pissing in Spikes bed. Not because there poo box is dirty, but I do believe they are bitter that there nice warm sun room is off limits most of the day. When Spike is napping, or sleeping at night. T1 and T2 are not allowed in.

So I do believe they are unhappy furry campers, and now reside to pissing in Spikes crib, yes it is away from furniture, and the rail is up. It's just sometimes I feel that they won't piss in there today, so I give them some sun time. Sigh, yes there is a big "Sucker" written across my head.

And yet again today not one, not two but three small cat piss spots. Now I change the bed, wash down the mattress, and put it back again. Oh and if you have never changed a baby crib. Let me just tell you it's not just rip off the old sheet and on with the new.

Oh no. First there is the untying of the bumper (yes I love my bumper) out of 12 ties to undo, I manage to get by with only undoing 8. Pull back bumper, flip hanging toys, pull out pissed on mattress. (the only way, that beast is tight in there!) Remove sheet, wash down mattress. Then we put on new sheet. Fix over rated crib skirt, put mattress back in tight ass space of a crib. Fuck I just jacked up the over rated crib skirt. Adjust it again. Now that over rated crib skirt is fixed, mattress is in, now we put the bumper back in. Retie all 8 fucking ties. Then flip the hanging toys back in. And move the crib back to original space.

Right. Do that once a day, and you kinda get tired of the old pissing match. If it ain't a kid, it's a pet.

So you got any advice for me? Oh, getting rid of T1 and/or T2, injuring them, or anything negative about my cats is not an option. I love them as kids, and will continue to clean up after them. I am looking for a deterrent that will be safe for Spike, yet keep away the cats.

A new me with kids

(Trying out for Big Brother season 8, April 2005)

Ever since I had my Bagel and Spike, things have changed. Not so much bad or good. Just things have changed with me, and things that I thought would NEVER happen to me, have happened. I have learned and scarified, but through it all it makes me appreciate my mom more, knowing that she did the same. Here are some things I have noticed.

  • I don't always eat first. And this is hard for me, once my blood sugar levels are too low, I get shaky, mean, and almost throw up. I know I need to eat more often, smaller snacks. But I do feed everyone first, and then myself.

  • I don't get as much sleep as I used to. Sleeping less, is more my fault. I am up to the wee hours, and mad at myself the next day for it when I have my "good morning mommy" at 7:45am. It's after everyone is off to sleepyland, and Spaghetti is off to work. I finally get me time. And well I have just so much fun reading blogs, or crafting in my room, or just catching up with my shows. That before I know it, it's 2:30 am! Yikes! Spaghetti says this is kinda insulting, since he would die for this amount of time to sleep. Bah, it's overrated.

  • I don't get as much food. I am always giving up my food, or my water, for Bagel. And when Spike gets bigger I am sure I will be doing it more. My only question is why am I not skinny if I don't eat, or even as much as before? Could be the late night ice cream...

  • I get angry at people who have there car radios loud in subdivisions. I have my loud as all hell, on the highway, and through town. But once I hit a subdivision, it goes WAY down, if not off. I think of myself, trying to get a tot to nap, and the base of a car totally nixs the nap for the day. And as a kid I didn't get it. I just did it to rebel, or because it made me happy to be in my own space, with my music. But just out of respect for mom's and the nightshift sleepers. Turn it down.

  • I never thought I would get the mom who was ignoring the screaming toddler in the grocery store. Oh I get it. You pay attention to bad behavior, and you are just rewarding it. And at that point if you do pay attention to it, you will probably be screaming, and who wants to be the psycho in the grocery store?

  • I never thought I stopped imagining, until Bagel shows me more ways to see things differently. Like today the long scarf we found with the Rainb@w Bright dolls, is now tucked in the back of her sweat pants as her tail, so she is just like D@rby, from T!gger and P00h. She never stops amazing me with new fun ways to see things.

  • I was always very careful with my toys and who played with them. I would cry and be upset for days if a favorite toy was broken. I think Dong broke me into quickly getting over things being broken or damaged. I still want Bagel and Spike to respect there toys but I am getting over the loss of things. They are just things.

  • I never thought I wouldn't have time for my pets. It's hard, I mean after a whole day of getting Spaghetti off to job 1 or 2, and tending to my 2 year old Bagel, or the constant feeding, and changing of my 5 1/2 month old Spike, oh and the housework. It is the end of the day when I look at Thing one and Thing two, then at Ding and Dong, and I feel bad that they just got shooed from a chair, or I just dropped there food dishes, and walked away. I guess that is one of my biggest challenges, is balancing the time for not only my dear husband Spaghetti, and my amazing kids, and the housework, but also fit in time for my furry children too.

  • I never thought I would finally be able to journal. I have always wanted to, I have a fistful of journals, started, kept up for a week or two... then I would forget or be to busy. Also my brain goes so much faster then a pen and paper could. So when my dear friend MnM showed me the amazing world of Blogger I fell in love. (I have a previous closed blog, for personal reasons, but I have been blogging since Feb 2007.) I love that I can document my feelings, and thoughts, and that I can share them too. I think my kids make me want to blog more. For them to have years from now.

  • I knew I would get the mother daughter relationship. I mean me and my mom are the bestest of friends, so when I found out I was having a girl, I was elated, and quickly knew that my love of Leg0's, papercrafts, and creativity would be passed down, and shared. But I never thought I would get the mother son bond. Oh I get it. It is totally different. There is just something about him and me. I know that I will be the first girl that he loves no matter what. He will never stop loving me, and I will always be first. So I get my dad and Gramma, and I get my husband and my mother in law. I get Scuz and her guy too. Don't get me wrong, me and Bagels relationship is priceless. But me and Spike... well the words just don't do it. You just feel it.

  • I also SWORE, my kids would NEVER. EVER. watch Barney. And I just got done with a round of "I Love You" well he is good, and he teaches cleaning up, sharing, and loves to use his imagination. Thanks Barney.

  • I swore that I would always watch my shows when they are on. Nothing will stop me, but when you are having family time, or when they just want one more round of "See you later Alligator" book, or "Twinkle Twinkle" the season premier of Survivor just doesn't seem so important anymore.

Is there anything as a mom that you SWORE you wouldn't do? Or if you don't have kids, is there anything you SWEAR you will never do?

Pumpkin Harry RIP

It's been one year since you passed.
For those of you new to Punpkin Harry, aka "Punkie" he was a cat that the Queen, Frances and I chose for Carrots 36th birthday. Yes Carrots is my dad, and if you do the math that means our dear Punkie lived for 21 years.

I was 8 and my sister, Frances, was 6. He was our bestest friend, and always loved us. We had an amazing 21 years with Punkerman, and even though cats may have come and gone, Shadowlina, Kitter, Moses, and Lady Citgo. There is just something about this little man, that just made you love him no matter what.

On his last day, my parents called me to come over, I wanted to be there for his last moments. Now at his age, every time I left my parents house, I would say goodbye to him, as if it were my last time seeing him. Knowing that his time was almost up.

That day, I had to get my 15 month old Bagel ready, and drive over. I came into the mud room, through the kitchen, and into the dining room.

I found my dad, Carrots, mom, Queen, and sister, Frances, all sitting on the floor around a towel, with a very skinny, little Punkerman. I quickly set down the car seat, pet his head, and told him I was here. He took one last breath, and he was gone.

He waited for me. He wanted us all together before he left. I love him and I miss him still. As much as people think cats are mysterious and sneaky. They are beautiful creatures and have a interesting sense of reality. They are unbelievably smart, and beautiful creatures.

I love you Punk. And I miss you everyday.

Take the catwalk

I have ALWAYS wanted to do this. I know it's kinda funny, but I have seen it where they actually cut holes in the walls to make the tracks go from room to room! This is too cool! Project for Carrots this winter! Make both myself and the Queen a set for our homes! I wonder if Aerials mom wants one to...
