Pumpkin Harry RIP

It's been one year since you passed.
For those of you new to Punpkin Harry, aka "Punkie" he was a cat that the Queen, Frances and I chose for Carrots 36th birthday. Yes Carrots is my dad, and if you do the math that means our dear Punkie lived for 21 years.

I was 8 and my sister, Frances, was 6. He was our bestest friend, and always loved us. We had an amazing 21 years with Punkerman, and even though cats may have come and gone, Shadowlina, Kitter, Moses, and Lady Citgo. There is just something about this little man, that just made you love him no matter what.

On his last day, my parents called me to come over, I wanted to be there for his last moments. Now at his age, every time I left my parents house, I would say goodbye to him, as if it were my last time seeing him. Knowing that his time was almost up.

That day, I had to get my 15 month old Bagel ready, and drive over. I came into the mud room, through the kitchen, and into the dining room.

I found my dad, Carrots, mom, Queen, and sister, Frances, all sitting on the floor around a towel, with a very skinny, little Punkerman. I quickly set down the car seat, pet his head, and told him I was here. He took one last breath, and he was gone.

He waited for me. He wanted us all together before he left. I love him and I miss him still. As much as people think cats are mysterious and sneaky. They are beautiful creatures and have a interesting sense of reality. They are unbelievably smart, and beautiful creatures.

I love you Punk. And I miss you everyday.
