So as I do my daily routine, I sometimes think that some of the things I do, could be helpful to you. Just thinkin' I might share some of my in genius ideas.
- When feeding Spike baby food. I use a plastic bib (never the cloth ones, not for food food, I would have to wash it right away, again laundry is not my strong point) so before I put his bib on, I fold a paper towel in half, and tuck it in around his collar. Then put the bib on. This soaks up spit, and all the mess that would sneak down and dirty his outfit.
- When making food, especially for a very hungry and patientless Bagel, let's say I make noodles, well if they are way to hot, I take an ice cube, drop it in her food, and stir it around. It won't water down the food, the ice cube really doesn't even melt, it really cools everything down, within seconds!
- Make lists. I guess this is for the people like myself that are untrained to just know what to do around the house. I am starting to make more lists realizing that they work well. I have one on the back door, a list of all things needed for the kids diaper bags before we go anywhere. As much as I think I got it all. I still check the list. I am coming up with more lists for around the house. Spaghetti agrees, they are helpful.
- The tub. I have a clear shower curtain, I always like them. But with the kids it's really helpful. Bagel likes to take loooong baths, and play. The clear shower curtain (clear with dots) allows me to look in on her, and also allows her to make a mess, and it all stays in! The one thing that me and Frances used to do in the tub was, we would start with the shower curtain in the tub. Then we would push the shower curtain out. But only so it would hang inside the tub, but cover the edge of the tub, then the excess we would fill with water to make a stream. Not sure if that makes sense... here check out my kickass art work...
See what I mean? See how her little toy is on the edge of the tub, with water of his own to play with. Now be sure to check this often, making note that there is still a good amount of the shower curtain in the tub, and yes on a few accounts we did flood the bathroom, but nothing a towel can't clean up. (Bagel has only done it once)That is all I have for now. Let me know if you have some fun tips to share!
