CIO

Now some of you may agree, and some may not. I am a CIO mom. (Cry It Out) This is hard to do. Let me tell you I am not ruthless, or evil. My children are feed, clean, and perfectly safe when I am forced to imply the CIO mommy.

I had full on CIO babies today. This was the first time, I had both Bagel to the left, and Spike to the right. Each in there rooms, crying to not take naps. Sigh. Both children, up at 8 am, had breakfast, played, went to the park, had lunch, changed and clean. Now off to nap at 1:30 because after 5 1/2 hours straight, I need a break. Possibly some food, and a potty break for myself.

I really had a hard time when Bagel was young, it broke my heart, and about 95% of the time, I stuck to letting her CIO. Same with Spike (oh, but it's harder with him. He's my little man, and I don't like to see him sad) But it's good for them. It teaches them I am there for them. But they need a nap, I will not come because your over tired, and grumpy this just then shows me you need a nap.

I once was scrapbooking at a local crop. And we were talking kids, and parenting, and a mom had a 2 year old daughter and was due with her son. She had never let her daughter CIO, and was thinking it was a good idea, now with the baby and all. My advice was sure, CIO is a good idea. Good luck now that she is two, and is used to you coming all the time. Now to each there own, with there parenting ways.

I love the way I do it, and after 20 minutes of screaming, as I attempt to finish my lunch, and Birthday Blog my Mom, it finally stopped. Both asleep. Some days though I just can't take it. I go way down stairs, to the art room, or the t.v. room.

So if you have any questions on CIO go ahead and ask, but remember. You do your thing. I do mine. I feel as though my way, the CIO way, gets me more sleep, and sanity. JMO.

oh yes amen to that! I have a 6 month old and I know when she's tired and I will let her cry herself to sleep. I do not want her to get spoiled and think that I will come in everytime she cries. Way to go!
