2x4's and me

I was driving home from town today. And as I got off the highway and turned onto the 4 lane major road in town, there was a husband and wife parked in the middle of the road, frantically trying to load the 40 plus 16 foot 2x4's back into there pick up truck, as I swerve around them, I notice so does everyone else.

All the big men, and the young strong boys. So I quickly do a U turn, park behind there truck, throw on my hazard lights, jump out and start loading 2x4's into there truck.

I mean I am just a tiny thing, only 5 foot, but hell, I help my dad, and they only weight a few pounds each. I took about 8 trips, and we got it all picked up.

Not sure what surprised them more, that the dressed up (from the wedding) pixie girl helped them, or that no one else in town even thought of it.

As we finished, they wife thanked me over and over, I said "I would just hope you would do it for me" I was happy I got to help out, and I wished them a Happy Holiday Season.
