A lesson in eating.

When mommy is making lunch for everyone. And she asks you to eat. It is not like you just ate breakfast. You ate breakfast at 9 am. You had a snack around 11. It was now 1:30 pm, and your 2 1/2 year old self needed lunch and a nap.

You chose not to eat. Fine. We all ate. Offering you countless times that I would make you something. You chose to not eat. Fine.

Elbow dance with Daddy, then the whoo whoo whoo song with mommy. Then it was nap time. Up to bed, and once in bed you start the hysterics of scream/whine/telling me what you want. After countless times I figured it was "Bananas and eggs now"

Silly child. Lunch was over a half an hour ago. Nap time now. You can have Bananas and eggs for dinner. If you choose.

She screamed like a limb was missing (Mud this is an CIO learning moment for ya) I let her scream, Spaghetti was going nuts. I told him to go down to the t.v. room. After 25 minutes. Silence. She was asleep.

She is at the age of knowing that she can ask for things to delay nap or bedtime. I do give in to somethings. But Bagel is learning I am not a short order cook. Mama cooks when mama cooks. She had countless invites for lunch.

She dealt with it. Spaghetti hid. And I blogged. So a lesson was taught. I don't starve my children, but I also don't need to cater to them. I love them, giving them snacks all day. But I need a schedule and so she must learn, as will Spike that I have a schedule, and rules.

I get to be the bad guy. Fine with me.
