Christmas Trivia

Chandler over at yours and my favorite blog, Maternal Mirth. Sent me these fun questions.


1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. My mom used to be the manager of a gift wrapping department store back, back in the day. Only gift bags if they are all matchy with there tissue paper, and ribbon.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Fizz-ake! My parents did a real tree once. Lame, and we had to water the damn thing ALL the time, because the 4 cats kept drinking all the water!

3. When do you put up the tree? Black Friday. Keeps me busy, and away from all the tards out shopping. (sorry to offend you if you are a tard and go shopping on Black Friday)

4. When do you take the tree down? Sometime after New Years, I think my latest to date was a few days before Valentines Day.

5. Do you like eggnog? Never had it.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmmm... just one? Maybe a few...
My jungle Lego set from Gramma Wanda (the last set she bought me, before she passed away)
The 15" t.v. and VCR combo when I was in H.S. (still have it! It's in our bedroom!)
The O' Jenny set. I remember stalking my mom, to stalk Toys-r-us for that one.

7. Hardest person to buy for? My dad! All he ever wants is a gift card for Menard's. Hello! Not fun. And I feel lame!

8. Easiest person to buy for? Bagel, and Spike!

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yep. With the little explorer I need not put it up for a while. Mary was decapitated once, and that was because my sister shoved me into the Nativity scene. (Nice, I know, but I probably deserved it)

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Hello! I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! All handmade cards here!!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? The Barometer clock from my ass hole Uncle William.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" the one with Jim Carey

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? A little bit each month starting in Aug-Sept so we don't get the HUGE credit card bill come January.

14. Favorite Holiday scent? Hands down, no questions asked. Holiday Wreath, or any pine smell for that matter.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? The Carrot family home made Ravioli's

16. Lights on the tree clear or colored? White.

17. Favorite Christmas song? Old ones by the Carpenders. Love them. Oh and my Christmas remix CD.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home for the morning, then headed out to my parents house for the day.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? No.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? It's a white, wooden bone, with a small halo and the name "Haley" painted on it. Haley was our first dog, who died suddenly of Parvo Virus only days after we got her. So she is our Angel. (but without the loss of Hay Hay, I would have my Ding)

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Eve is with Spaghetti's parents, and Christmas Day is us here at home, then my parents and sister.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? To fucking cold. Damn it hurts to just be outside. Like the makes your eyes water just looking at the garage door. It's so cold.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Ornament theme for us, is all the ones Spaghetti and I had as kids, or made. And the ones that we have for the kids. I love the Halmark ones too.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Mashed potatoes!!!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
