Firework

Once upon a time you happened. That moment I was in the bathroom. First floor of our house. I realized I was pregnant. I then found out it was a girl. My dreams and hopes of a little me was coming true.

After 9 long months of pregnancy came you. My baby girl.

100_2959

I did all the thing I thought I should. I bathed you often, taking care of every detail. Your water, diapers, warm wipes, lotions and towels. Every part of you being. And my care for you was always first priority.

Every moment with you has been amazing. You are just a ray of sunshine when you enter a room. From your ‘All about Me’ attitude, your sassy but sweet approach to each day.

Mialounging

You grew into long blonde hair, big blue eyes, your tiny in size, but again show your mother’s side of pure feisty when anyone challenges you.

Your creative, your funny, your outgoing, love to dance, sing, and just be. And this my baby girl is you. The creature who took over my heart and reason for being.

Not that I ever intended to grow up, or be adult like. I for some reason realized I didn’t like children, small does of children, sure, but for to long of time, or if for some reason they got to whiney, or needy, my dislike for them grew.

So being your MOM and a Stay At Home Mom at that, I quickly realized I had to get over my loathing of whiney needy children.

I’ve instead realized that you, like so many other children are the way for adults to remember. To remember that we are all whiney needy people.

That need to be reminded to live. Out loud.

To laugh. At everything. To smile when your mom is ‘frustrated’ or ‘angry’ over barking dogs and spilt milk. To remind her that it’s life. It’s ok.

That’s you. You remind me.

You remind me of the kid that I once was, not only do you fill my heart with love of being your mom, but you make me, me again.

I’m sorry for the PPD. It was a part of me that pulled us apart. Well to me it did. You still look at me every day as if I’m some sort of amazing person. You say I’m the best mommy, the best cook, the funniest. I think I could be better for you. For both of you.

Bagel and Weaky

Now being pregnant with the two of you only being 22 months apart it wrecked my brain. I thought I was stronger then PPD. I thought I couldn’t go crazy. I wasn’t on meds, I didn’t see a shrink, I was just dealing with a new life, with two new people to care for. Little people at that. Crazy angry bitch Jan 08

Barking dogs, screaming kids, whiney kids, husband working 3 jobs, no money, laundry, housework and trying to find the new me all with out losing the old me in the mix, caused me to be in some serious denial of Post Partum Depression.

Often you called me ‘Sad mommy’ or ‘angry mommy’ needing time outs (that’s how I would handle a meltdown) but I feel that I took from you. I took from our time together, and now with your brother I feel I did the same.

But it’s been 5 years my baby. 5 LONG years. Of you and me. Adding in your brother. All of it makes us who we are, and what we are. All this stems from the fact that today was your Preschool graduation.

IMG_0534

OMG. I cried typing that out. Pre.school. is OVER for you. I remember your first day. You were SO excited. I was SO upset. I sat in that parking lot and sobbed.
Today I sat with family, and the great preschool mom friends I have made, I cried that in 8 months you went from little girl, just 4 years old to all of a sudden your getting a diploma and the tell me you’re a Kindergartener?! From 3 days a week for 2.5 hours a day. To ALL day on a bus school?! And need I remind you that your FIFTH birthday. Yes 5 is coming up? Two weeks and a day?!

So yesterday I surprised you and POWER cleaned your room. I mean ALL the clothes on the floor, the toys, the mess. It took me ALL day. CLEAN. The mess is of coarse yours, but part my fault. Those clothes went back as far as 24 months. (party lazy me, part that I couldn’t let go, and part I LOATHE laundry of any kinds) Some child with less then you will enjoy them.  And we can go on enjoying your wonderful room.

Writing you this I’m trying to figure where I’m going with it. Is it a “I’m sorry I didn’t give my all the last 5 years” I thought I did then. Looking back I feel like I didn’t. Or is this a “Holy Canoli my baby is growing up SO fast and I can’t hold on to her so I need to jump on and just enjoy the ride” I think it’s both.

As I learned with Maggie May, I didn’t pick her out at the pet store. She picked out me. As did you. Sure I made you, I created you my little human, but you. YOU make me who I am now. You teach me, if not more then I teach you. To be me. To let us be us. If I just LET you and me pick out who we want to be.

To not fight the angry whiney needy child in either of us.

But to embrace who we are. My baby and I. To remember you are me. You’re a tiny version of me, in a WHOLE new world. Let’s enjoy this ride my princess.

In the words of you “Girls only, right mom?” (when your dad is at work and your brother is napping and we have snuck to the art room for some us time)

“Can this just be a girl day?” (when your brother is still asleep and you’ve woken me at 7 am on the weekend)

And hoping that you forget, that there was ever these words uttered by you “Mom I wish you weren’t always angry mommy then sad mommy”

Let’s make this the best summer ever My Bella.

You Feisty Mom.

Coffee buzzard induced.

Random babble on a Sunday morning.

~Snow is pretty. Lots of snow is still pretty. BUT it’s getting a bit maddening, since we are STUCK inside. Sure playing out in it is a blast…

IMG_0882

But there is ONLY so much you can do in the snow. Especially when you start loosing feeling to your body parts.

I sped up the process last night, using what once was our back deck stairs, now as a very cool snow ramp, first time was awesome, launching me halfway through the yard. Second time, the snow had been pushed into the hollow area under the step which resulted in me getting snow down my pants, and up my back. HOLY cold.

IMG_0866

We did have fun measuring the drifts, this one up to Spaghetti’s knees!

IMG_0881

Spaghetti and I put the kids on the swings. Weaky was pissed because his was stuck in the snow (we had to unbury it first!) And Bagel just laughed because she could shimmy around in hers a bit.

IMG_0885

All in all we’ve been getting some really good use of their snow suits. A trip down the slide from the fort house, to the snow drift below was fun. But next time we need to factor in time. Because by the time we got everyone dressed (started at 5 pm) and played for a bit, by 5:30 it was dark! The snow with the back light, make it light enough to see. But it was getting cold, and well, with snow still in my butt crack I was about done too.

~Play room.

It’s fucking awesome. Yes I had to say fucking because that’s what it is. Fucking awesome. Kids are eating popcorn, watching  an Ice Age movie marathon, and have toys out the wazoo down there.

The dogs are allowed pretty much all over the rest of the house, and they love it.

Me? Drinking coffee, blogging, doing dishes, folding laundry, picking up the house. ALL with out being whined at every few minutes.

NOW don’t get me wrong, I LOVES to be with my babies. BUT. EVERY time I would walk by the front living room, they NEEDED a snack (even if they had one in hand) or NEEDED to whine. OMG. Plus I am known for either all hands on with the kids.

It’s either ‘let’s paint, or playdoh, or make a fort’ OR it’s ‘leave me be I’ve got to clean this house it smells like a zoo and your whining is going to send me to drink excessive amounts of coffee and FB all day’

SO this NEW and IMPROVED layout of zee house is FANFUCKINGTASTIC.

~~Ohh I have to brag a bit… check this out…

IMG_0733

It’s Bagel art!! Alright, so it’s not the art work, with the fantastically over priced color wonder paper and markers… it’s the signature…

Reads “Happy Birthday”

IMG_0735

“I (heart) U. Mia. Gram.”

She had me tell her the letters, BUT she did the “I (heart) U” all on her own! I’m telling you Baby Bagel age 1-4 is a blur! 5 is coming to fast!!

~I’ve got a fun few days planned ahead.

Tonight Weaky is having a sleep over at Queen Gigi, and Papa Carrots house. I haven’t told him yet, because Bagel will be sad. BUT it’s because I have a field trip with her tomorrow to the local collage Planetarium. (well I take her, drop her off, and then ONLY the teachers and students get to see the show. So us mom’s are going to Starbucks!)

Then Tuesday I get a date with my bestie Aerial!! Can’t wait. She will FINALLY open her birthday presents from me (her BDay is Nov. 16th!!) and then for Christmas we bought each other tickets to see “Burn The Floor” should be a great show!

~Oh AND at the end of the month, in…20 days we are leaving for… SUNNY (hopefully) Arizona!! OMG. WARM. And you can say all you want about how cold it could be, with last Thursdays wind chill here at –20, anything above freezing will be great.

~~

So enough stalling, and babbling, I need more coffee, and need to see what Bagel is doing now that she took my poor Sophie into her room..

Sophie snow

I do believe she is reading her a story about Franklin going to the Hospital… Well this is what I do to Maggie when I am bored… she wears my jammies!

Alright. I’m done. Miss me, Happy Super Bowl Sunday, and Go Bears… I mean… Stealers. (Bears fans hate Green Bay!) I’m in it for the commercials, the love of the game and my fav’s Black Eyed Peas are playing!!

Feisty

(p.s. I think I need a book on this ‘Windows Live Writer’ its awesome, and I can keep more then one blog (I have one for my art too) in it. BUT for the life of me can NOT get it to STAY on one font, and size!! Each time I add a picture it changes it to 9.5 and Aerial (yuck!) Plus I want to learn Windows Live Photo Gallery “to the cloud!”

Bagel in pictures

What's new with my Bagel? Well let me tell you...

Art room

Bagel was freaking excited about her jumbo glue stick. At this point (3 1/2 yrs) she uses scissors, glue sticks, and my paper cutter (ITS SAFE, and I am ALWAYS around for it!) she uses crayons, and colored pencils, she has lost the freedome of markers, since she ALWAYS has an urge to draw a full beard, mustache, and uno brow with the darkest or brightest color marker.

She loves to stamp, and now that she uses my Big Shot (die cut machine with Stampin' Up! and Sizzix) she loves that too! She loves her playdough, and her paints, and her sticker books too.

This is bagel with glue stick, and her purple paper making valentines for everyone. She glued on die cut hearts and butterflies she die cut out with Gigi the other day.

Bagel also likes to play in my laundry when I am folding it. So instead of getting frusterated at her playing in my clean clothes I have her search for her stuff, and go put it in the right drawer, she thinks this is a big deal. So do I.

Bagel loves Starbucks as much as I do, she and I found on by the dentist, so we go eat sugary things before we go their (she's been getting fitted for an appliace, retainer like thing, so we've gone a few times this month already!) Nothing like a sparkly donut and an organic juice drink (looks like apple sauce in a green pouch)
She also loves to cheese really big for those mommy and Bagel shots!
She wasn't mad, just very chill at the dentist, no nap and the sugar buzz had worn off. I agree with Maternal Mirth, this is one of my favorite shots of her lately. (BTW, we call her dentist, Dr. Purple, this lady has a fetish with purple like Bagel and I do. She has a HUGE purple chair, purple stools, purple walls. But even better? She has purple spit cups, purple gloves and purple bibs to drool on! AND purple heart sunglasses to borrow when you sit in her chair. She is awesome!)
Bagel was bad. Bagel yelled at me to "Shut it up" I gave her a time out. Explained it was mean to say that to mommy. She appologized then wanted to call Queen to tell her. It's like her confessional. My mom loves it, and I like that she can go to the Queen for anything like that even at such a young age.
I had to stop by my dear friend D. Mudd Pimpster's house
(BTW, this is her "THIS NKOTB CONCERT REUNION IS BETTER THEN MY WEDDING DAY"
excited face. Your welcome D Mudd.)
for some WW papers. I brought along Bagel so she could meet D. Mudd's daughter, K Bug. She is just 2, but they played nice together for a bit. I was excited to see them together, and can't wait for more play dates in the future.
Bagel also said something cute last night, she was up late folding laundry with me, and I had a pile for Weaky's room, so I asked her to quietly put it in front of his door, I will put it away in the morning. She said she would "Tick Toe" to his room. Which was her shuffling her feet down the hall. Too funny!

And if you know of the "Tinkerbell" movie well since Bagel has declared her self Tinkerbell, it only seems fit that I am
Queen Clarion. Sure I was sad to not be Tinkerbell anymore, but with my old age (HA!) and being a mom, I like the promotion. On that note she also said that the Queen is...
Fairy Mary. To cute, looks alot like my mom!!
Hope you enjoyed another one of my rambling posts, I need to keep remembering to use my fancy signature I worked so hard on in paint (not the misspelled one either) look forward to a fun post by the cats. They are tired of seeing Sophie on here all the time.

Spiders in your buttcrack

Bagel often has me sing songs to her to stall me leaving her room  before I leave her room each night. Most nights I am up for it. We start with some off key (who am I kidding, it's ALL off key) Twinkle Twinkle...

(she was SUCH a baby here! About 13 months.
Shes already going to be 4 in June! Ok, that just made me cry...)
Twinkle Twinkle little Bagel, Bagel
how I wonder why youwontfallasleeep,
tucked in your bed so nice,
like a bagel, bagel in for the night...
hmm hmm hm hmm hmm hmm hmm...
(Bagel Bagel is to be replaced with her real name, sounds cuter too)

Then she cuts me off for some Smiley the Lion...

Smiley the lion what does she wear?
Only the loveliest skin and hair,
she's never angry, (mommy makes angry face)
she's never cryin' (mommy makes funny boohoo sounds)
that's why we call her Smiley the lion!

We are running low on patience, I have read to her, filled her water cup, made sure her Ticky blanket was situated just right, AND yet a request for another stall song. Mind you I am tired, and so I think with some sarcasm she will enjoy my song, and I will get a kick out of singing off key yet again.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider. This is my favorite ad lib eva...

The itsy bitsy spider went up Bagel's back,
down came the rain and washed the spider intoherbuttcrack
(insert many giggles)
Out came the sun and dried up her buttcrack,
Then the itsy bitsy spider went up Bagel's butcrack,
AAAAGGGAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNN!!

Then I get up, go to the door and say...
Goodnight, Bagel Nicole, I loves you.

She says
Gnight mom.

I ask
When will I see you again?

She says,
When the sun comes up.

Then as if she is counting to three on her fingers, as each finger goes up, she says "I. Love. You." it was Spaghetti and my secret code when we worked together (the normal sign for I love you was a bit to obvious and made our co-workers gag) and so I taught it to Bagel.

Just wanted to share!

Chickens forced to watch family massacre

My parents hosted a party this last weekend. It was an "October Fest Italian Style" with yummy spaghetti and chicken, and everyone brought a dish to pass. It was a great time, with good friends.

Bagel chose to eat her dinner by her toys in the living room. One of them being a small barn. She had all the toy chickens lined up.
As she sat and ate her chicken and spaghetti. My good friend Pipe sat near by. She pointed to the toy chickens and said "Bagel, did you know your eating their friends? Your eating chicken"
Bagel looks at her all puzzled. And then said in return "I'm not eating their friends. I'm eating their family!"
Again one of the many reasons I love my daughter.

Bagel and her memory

As I go to tuck Bagel into bed for the umpteenth time tonight. (she has a little cold and is extra dramatic and needy.) I lay down next to her and we have the one of many cute conversations about her day.

At the adorable age of 3 year and almost 4 months, Bagel is quite the talker. She remember stories, events and details SO clear now. She recalls things that happened weeks or months ago, and even old stories I have told her.

After a long discussion about her day at her tumbling class. Her new skill of the balance beam with out Miss Terry's hand this week, and how she loves the "jumpy thingy with the bar" or the mini trampoline that has these side bars to hold onto. (Perfect for little kid jumping.)

We then get into a discussion about Little Bagel. She says when she was a teeny tiny baby (holding up her finger and thumb to show me how little she once was) and I would tell her stories. She asked me to tell her about Great Gramma.

Well that narrows it down to 4 Great Gramma's, all in whom I have told her stories about. So I ask her, which Great Gramma. She said "You know, Papa's mommy"
(Bagel is 5 days old, here with her Great Gramma Alice who was 89 1/2 years old)
I smiled, and took a deep breath, (it will be 3 years this November that Great Gramma Alice has been gone) I said to her "The story about how excited Great Gramma would get when you would come to see her." I continued with "and how she would just hug and kiss you, she wanted to see you grow up." "She often would ask you to talk to her" even though at that young age Bagel wasn't even a babbler yet.

She then asked me "Where does Great Gramma Alice live?" tears ran down my face. As I quickly remembered how much I miss my Gramma. I then told her that "ALL you great Gramma's are watching over you from a place called Heaven. And when you go there you get to be an angel. They keep you safe, and are so proud of you and Weaky"

She then notices that I am crying, and asks if I am happy. I told her that I was just happy, but I just missed all her Great Gramma's since they live somewhere else now.

Then she did the secret family sign for I Love You, then before completely bawling my eyes out, I controlled myself, kissed her head, and said goodnight.

It amazes me how she is remembering stories, and facts. How she is learning to watch for others feelings too. I am sad that she won't remember any of her Great Grandmothers, but I am happy that two of them were able to see her for a short period of time.

But what I can do is tell her often stories of her family, show her pictures, and remind her and Weaky of her family past. To know how important it is to never let the memory fade. These are the reasons I blog, I scrapbook and I have a family tree.

Those people. They are a part of me. And a part of my history.

What is in Weaky's diaper, mom?

While changing Weaky's diaper, Bagel walks over. Looking confused she (finally) asks me,

"Mom, what is that in Weaky's diaper?"

I wasn't surprised, knowing this was coming, and actually surprised it wasn't sooner, I told her it was Weaky's weenie.

She said "ok, I'm going to go play now"

So what do you call it? For a boy? What do you call girl parts? So far Bagel just calls it all her butt.

Fucker. Did you mean Trucker?

Here is a funny Bagelism for you...

We are all home, and Spaghetti is bringing Weaky into the front room after dinner, Bagel and I are in there already, and I stub my toe on the end table.

I was stressed for some random reason, or no good reason at all, and the first thing I yell is "FUCKER!!"

In an instant my lovely 3 year old is quickly saying "Fucker, Fucker, Fucker..." Spaghetti quickly interrupts her with "Trucker? Mom meant that Brett, our neighbor is a Trucker. He drives the BIG truck, right Bagel?"

She gives him the most "um no" look, and says "No daddy. Mommy did NOT say Trucker. She said Fucker. Fucker, fucker, fucker..."

Thank you for the clarification my dear child.

Mommy. I'm leaving you.

Last night as I was trying to watch Survivor, and Bagel and Weaky are STILL up (I so try on my show nights to have the children tucked into their beds and fast asleep but no such luck, let me just tell you they were both up well into the Grey's final episode too!)
So as Bagel is loading up her back pack with all her favoritest toys. I am doing a bunch of "mmhmm's" and "uuuhhh's" to her telling me about the toys. (I was really distracted by Coach's insane babbling on Survivor, and hoping he would GO home!!)
Finally Bagel looks at me and says "Mommy. I'm leaving you"
Alright, those are words to get anyone's attention. I look at her and ask "Where are you going."
Bagel points to her overstuffed backpack, and then says "School."
"Right now?" I asked.
"Yep. Go get me a bus. A big yellow one. And then the door will open. I will go up the stairs, say "hello bus driver" then go find a seat. And I will say "sit by me friends". And we will go to school"
Right now my heart is in my throat. I am excited that she want to grow up, but SO fast! Hold on Tonto! I ask her if she would sit by the window and wave at me.
She says "Yes mommy. I will wave two hands fast at you. Then you stay in the garage with Weaky, and you wait for me to come home." Then she added. "I need to get more toys. I need lots of them for school. When will the bus be here? I have to go now." She was very upset that the bus wouldn't be here till morning again. (it was 7:40 at night)
I told her I would miss her. I got a "mmmhhmm" in return.
Sigh. I didn't know 3 was the big girl age. I think preschool will be harder on me then on her. That's a good thing right? Well I have till fall of 2010 to prepare myself. And her.

See you when the sun comes up

(Bagel is sleeping on Nikki & Loren's couch in Nashville, on our last night there)

Tonight it is crazy rain storming outside. And as a little girl I loved to open the window in the spring, and watch the rain fall.

I still do.

The last few nights I have enjoyed the rainfall from Bagel's room. After getting her ready for bed, we go to the window and watch the rain.

For about 10 minutes there is just us. The rain. And an exchange of smiles every so often.

We listen for the birds, the cars and to watch the clouds move.

Tonight instead of me tucking Bagel into bed, she wanted to stay up and to watch more rain. I said if she needed to go to bed, she could. Or just to let me know, and I would come and put her into bed.

I thought what a big girl!

I was out of her room for about 3 minutes, when she was crying. I went in to her telling me that it was scary with out me. I should close her window, and she needed to go to bed.

I promptly shut her window, not wanting to make her afraid of something we loved. Scooped her up with her green blankie, and off to bed.

After tucking her in, and a few rounds of Twinkle Twinkle, I always end the night with

"Are you Snug as a Bug in a Rug?"

Bagel will say "yes" or nod her curly blonde head of hair.

Then I follow with the next question of "When will I see you again?"

And Bagel will say "When the sun comes up, Mommy"

I love that. For all those times I have no patience's, or can't stand all the whining. I sit and I soak in these moments. The moments where she is just a sweet little girl.

Good Night my baby. I love you.

More then my life.

Mommy.

Big Yellow Bus

As I was getting ready to put Bagel down for her nap today. We were looking out her window. It's a windy day, but around 70 and nice.

As we look out the window, we see the big yellow school bus stop to drop of the kids. Mia counts them "one, two, three!"

Then she says "Those are friends on the bus!"

I ask her if she would like to go to school some day, and ride the big yellow bus.

She tells me "Someday. But for now I stay little... love you mom"

Thank you Bagel, I love you. More then my own life.

Mommy. XO...

Darby threatens to cover herself in silver glitter

It was late. It was 8pm. Bagel was still up (I was lazy let her sleep WAY late through her nap, in thus resulting in her up till 9 pm) we were in the Art Room working on Stamp Camp.

Bagel was sitting across from me at the big table, my papers, tools, stamps and accessories spread everywhere. Bagel has her own desk, and the t.v. room right next door. BUT NOOO she needed to sit and stare at me. While I banged my head for some sort of creativity.

Bagel also insisted on having Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Darby at the table, in a high pitched conversation. She insisted also that I play.

Bagel: "Mommy wanna be Darby?"

Me: "No. I'm thinking"

Bagel:" Mommy wanna be Darby?"

Me: "Nooooo. I will be angry mommy lacking creativity. You be Darby"

Bagel: Thinks... "Mommy wanna be Darby?"

Me: "No. But sure. Gimmie Darby."

As you can tell I was in a piss ass attitude, but I know that someday too soon she will not want me to play, so I took Darby.

Bagel: Grabs Minnie Mouse and says in the most high pitch voice ever "Hello Darby. How are you?"

Me: Wanting play time with Darby to be over, but I still found it to be a creative outlet, I picked up Darby and said "Well Minnie, my day has been crazy. I have to take care of two kids, with a wicked head cold, gagging and hacking all day, I peed my pants at least 5 times so far, and I still have a boat load of work to do for a class of 8 people in less then 24 hours. I wish I could go to bed. But I still have to cook Daddy dinner, put Bagel to bed, and wake Weaky and care for him. I think I will go stick my head in this big jar of silver glitter."

Bagel:"..." with a blank stare.

Bagel then holds out her hand and asks for Darby. She takes her toys and goes to the t.v. room to watch the Goodnight Show on Sprout.

Sorry kid. I needed a creative vent, and your Darby doll was it. It did help, and I did play, just not how you wanted. Thanks for the outlet.

Bagel-ism's #89 A cupcake buzz

Bagel was given cupcakes for breakfast. She thought it was amazing. Not sure what was more beautiful to her, the frosting, the chocolate, the fun paper to peel off, or the Princess rings on top of each one.
So I ask bagel to remove the ring from her mouth, and tell me what was her favorite part...

Bagel contemplated the options. Over a sugar buzz from inhaling one cupcake, and eating the frosting off of two she responds with...

"It is all so yummy and de-wish-us" with the MOST serious look on her face.

I love Bagels answers she gives me, with the most adult like responses, I am freaked out by the fact that my tiny baby is gone. I now embrace the adorable toddler that I love.

Bagel's new bed, or lack there of

I have realized that Bagel likes to sleep anywhere but her bed. Always on the floor, depending on the mood. Most of the time it is right behind her bedroom door.

Now for the longest time, this would enrage me. Yes that is a strong word, but I was just furious that she couldn't just sleep in her bed. She has a nice bed, not to high, the box with the drawers underneath, and a book case behind.

So after months of Bagel leaving her bed, minutes after I put her in it, and curling up behind her door, I should explain, her room is a regular squarish size room, 14x16 pretty big for a tot. But the doorway, is kinda at an angle... no not on a angle... um... ok, like if you were to walk in straight you have about 3 feet, and then there is a wall. You have to turn to go into her room, and there is kinda a mini hall to her room. She love to sleep there. So I caved.

Funny thing is I hated, and I still do hate, sleeping in a wide open space. Unless my head is covered. So she doesn't like to sleep in the big room, but in the little space. Hmmm... lot like her mommy. I tried looking at Target for one of those tent beds, but I can only find the most gigantious tents for her room. I need to find her one, or the Cabbage Patch doll one I had as a kid, I know my mom gave it to me... maybe the attic?

Either way, after realizing today, after months, that she is doing just what I would do. I set her up with her big fat comfy new comforter that Aunt Frances got her for her Baptism, and her big fat feather pillow, with flannel cover. ALL the babies should could find, and of coarse her Glow Worm right next to her.

It's hard for me I have to be SO QUIET Because her door, and our door, share a corner. So Spaghetti and I are in discussion as to where we are moving Bagels bed, and where can we find a tent bed. Until then, camp Bagel will be set up in the corner!

And as she says to me each night "Snug, as a bug, in a rug, Mommy" then lots of whispering about how much she loves me, and that I am beautiful, but before I run for the nearest mommy pageant, I am told that "Daddy, and Spike, and Ding, and Dong, and Thing 1, and Thing 2, and Bagel are all so pretty too. OH and so is Gow worm, and Sara (my old Cabbage Patch doll) and Jammer, and Bert, and Ernie" thanks kid...

Cocks and Fags

If you asked Bagel what these two items were, she would know right away.
This is a picture of a cock.
So used in a sentence I heard. "Mommy, look at that big cock on the wall!"
And this is a picture of a fag.
And when looking along the road at all the utility markers I heard "Mommy, look at all those fags!"
Yep, we worked on the letter "L" today, lots of "La la la la la" going on here, I said "Bagel, say Lamp" she said "Say Lamp" smartass...

Bagel isms

  • Spaghetti says, "Ok Bagel, say "Trick or Treat" when we get to the door" Bagel says "Mr. Tweet"
  • Bagel come walking in while Spaghetti and I are eating lunch, she looks at me and says "My name is Feisty and your name is Bagel" Spaghetti and I just looked at each other. I said "Did she just say my real name? Who told her what it was?" (she said our real names)
  • I was making a cake today, and I dripped Chocolate on the floor. Bagel comes in, points to the floor and goes "Gah! Mommy come look, quick, there is poop on the floor!" the best part was how well she pronounced poop.
  • Today was the first time she feed me imaginary food. I have eaten the fake banana sticker, or the fake plastic food. But it was Bagels first imaginary food. I am proud! Go Imagination Go!
  • The sprout channel sings "Happy Birthday to you" Bagel sings "Happy Dirt Day to you"
  • Bagel saw Spaghetti in just shorts and no shirt, she points at him and laughs. He asks what is so funny. Waiting for the worst she says "You have a belly button too!!" then lifts: up her shirt and shows daddy hers! I then show her mine. She says that "Mommy has boobs too and so do I. But I have boobs all over"
  • She stayed up WAY late tonight, so late she got to see Spaghetti go to night shift at 9:30. He was running late, and putting his shoes on. So she grabs one of his shoes, and he had to chase her twice around the kitchen table for the shoe. Then she locked onto his leg and wouldn't let go! Too funny!

Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!
