Fuck you Friday!

It's been forever since I've done a Fuck You Friday post. So here are some fun Fuck You's I need to get out there... enjoy!!

  • Fuck you to Comcast. Your new DTA box is shit, I now have to replace the one I just put in. And fuck you to your customer service people, who are extremely nice, and so I can't yell at them. Damn you all.
  • Fuck you to the P90X work out, I do believe because of the Kenpo X I can not turn my head. The whole, look forward punch forward, look back kick back routine, that I still can't get right may or may not have me turning my whole body to look to the side. That folks is a small problem...
  • Fuck you to the weather. Yes I know it's fall. I got it. Seen 31 of them now. But could I get those pretty fall days where it's chilly but sunny? I mean does anyone remember what the sun looks like?
  • Fuck you to laundry. Because of my lack of doing, folding, sorting, purging. I have a 3 foot high by 3 feet wide and approx 8 feet long pile in my loft. It's clean, but let me tell you, I have completely dug out ALL the clean underwear. (I had to free ball it yesterday!)
  • Fuck you to Spaghetti's medical insurance. Because you are now going to cost us $400 a month we are dropping to the middle plan. We would like SOME of his check please.
  • Fuck you to the toys. We have SO many fucking little toys. I mean seriously. I just did the attic shuffle, moving in old toys, to condense. I thought it was a great idea to put those plastic drawer things under the t.v. cabinet for smaller toys. That was just a invite for Weaky to pull the drawers out, fling the toys, and then stand on top of the drawer container, to only have Bagel scream like she is standing on acid floors for you to get down or you will get hurt. I need a dumpster!!

That is all the Fuck You's I have for today. Hope you enjoyed. Let me know if I missed anything would ya?

How about that weather?

Subject change.

I must blog about our weather. It was insane today. It has been cold as of late. Mean cold. Snowy. Dark and gloomy.

But not yesterday. Not today.

Yesterday was 45 degrees. Nice, still need a coat, but nice.

Today was easily... 60 or higher. That is insane!! The snow is gone, EVERYONE was outside today, almost a crime not to be. I saw neighbors washing cars, cleaning garages, I took the kids for a walk to the park in our subdivision, and there was a whole slew of kids playing football.

The cats sat in the windows sucking up air like they haven't breathed in months! The dogs just sprawled across the deck sucking up the warm sun!

Oh it was amazing, like we fast forwarded to spring!! Loved it.

BUT WAIT!! Don't get excited, don't bust out the flip flops and Bermuda's just yet my Midwestern friends... the snow, ice, and freezing temperatures will be back.

The hats, gloves, scarves, coats, and boots. It will all still be needed for another 2 or 3 months. We here are not guaranteed nice weather till AT least May. Maybe end of April if your really optimistic.

But for now, we will relish in the beautiful day we had. Maybe it was sent here by the newest Angel added to heaven. If so, thanks Gramma M. we needed that.

Manic Monday. Vick's, Rainbows, and to much talk

What do you do to make yourself feel better when you are sick?
Vick's baby bath.
Vick's under my nose.
Sleep. Alot.
Double noodle soup.
Watch Little Nicky (it's my "I'm sick movie") with Adam Sandler
Have my Wish Bear care bear Ed got me.

What is the most amazing weather you've ever seen?
I see crazy weather here often. A few times, I have seen it where it rains in my front yard and not my back yard. Or where I have stood just about to the steps of my deck by the grass, and it's raining in the grass, but not on the deck.

I have seen more rainbows here in this house then I have ever seen.

The snow is crazy. With all the cornfields there are drifts, from the crazy winds we get. So a 4" snow fall, could be a 3' pile when it's done blowing. Don't even get me started on I-80! That highway is insane with the snow!

I live in Chicagoland. Where as they say, if you don't like the weather, wait a few hours. It will change. No joke. I have had many days where we will use the heat, then the air, then the heat again in July!

Do you listen to music or talk radio in the car?
I HATE talk radio in the car. (Some sports games are tolerable. Some.) I love the radio, music makes me happy. I don't mind some morning shows, mostly Drex from Kiss FM, if anyone is keeping track, looks like Eddie and Jobo from B96 got canned. Again.

I loathe commercials. I can't stand them!! I don't even like when the D.J.'s talk over the begining of the song, STFU!!

All gone!

Just a few short days ago I was cursing the weather up and down. The ice capades that were my driveway, and the 3 foot pile the village left for us after a half ass attempt of plowing our street (which means shovel off the foot of snow leaving us no traction, and 3 inches of ice)

So it got a bit warmer. So warm that last night on t.v. at 11:30 at night, it was 56 degrees. That is a fucking heat wave here. (I am sure for some of you that is your coldest at the moment)

56 degrees = no snow. All gone. Yep, all of it.

Well you may ask if I am just so happy? Sure if you don't mind the flooding due to a retarded amount of snow and ice melting in less then a days time, sure. And the fog is insane. You can't see more then 20 feet in front of you.

From what Aerial says this morning the sun was trying to come through the fog. Not cool.

Sun+fog= you can't see shit.

But the fog has cleared here, now it's just raining, but I can do rain. You can keep your ice and snow. 4 more months of this shit... 4 more months...

Would you like ice with that snow?

(these are what I call grassicles. They are the little blades of grass that didn't get buried in snow.
And were turned into grassicles due to the ice. See the one on the far right for best example)

I SO wanted to go out bummin' at a few stores, there is a Jewel Osco and the Halmark down the road. I mean like 5 minutes down the road. The both have fun 50-75% off sales, nope canceled plans. Bah humbug on this shitastical weather!

Snow? Nope. I would love for it to be snow. We've gots us some freezing rain. Which means driveway of ice. Is now a driveway of new ice. Dirty bitches.

BUT the good news is it should get up to 40 degrees out today, which means we have flood warnings!

SUPER!

Should have gotten a canoe for Christmas. Then I could have gone out.

And we were talking about going out to eat with Spaghetti's cousin and her husband, Loren. Maybe a possibility, again, if this 40 degree heat wave can dent the ice.

Now again to explain why I like snow. Because it can be moved.

Snow? Get shovel. Move. Plow. Carry on with life. Small delay.

All those fuckers that say the would rather it be freezing then warmer with snow. Well here you go. I hope your happy.

(this would be a frozen shut garbage can. Now where exactly do we put the dirty diapers, cat shit and holiday leftovers?)

Freezing weather? Rain becomes ICE (not snow) and now we have a 3 inch fucking layer of ice, snapping of trees (not kidding) coating every surface, and pissing in my cornflakes, so I can't go bummin' with my mommy and kids today.

(this is my frozen Lilac bush, coated with ice)

Boooooooo. Oh so you lovelies with your chilly weather, and your "my goodness I need a scarf today!" or "Man I can't wait till it gets back up to the 70's next week" can go sit on a stick.

Yes I am bitter, not because of the cold, but because I am denied my day out. If this shithole weather fucks with my scrapbooking weekend I will be livid.

How do I really feel? Call me.
1-800-winter-blows.

Oh Merry Christmas everyone! (tee hee!)

Chisle our way in.

So yesterday was snow, snow, and some snow.

Spaghetti and I go out around 4 while kids are snoozing, and shovel (mind you the sun is pretty much gone by now)

Snowblower. Piece o' shit, won't start. Spaghetti shoveling, and the damn shovel breaks. WTF.

I go next door and borrow Chris' two shovels.

I decide to clean up one side of the garage and get at least the truck in the garage, because let me tell you loading a 2 1/2 year old and an infant carrier into a car, surrounded by a foot of snow, and glass like ice. We've already slipped a few times, Bagel completely wiped out onto her back once (thank god for the 5 layers of clothes for padding) I have no grass either to stand on. It is solid ice. Solid)

(let me just say this is from Friday, when we had the first ice storm. Now there is about 11" more snow and ice on top. But just to show you how thick the ice is. Spaghetti and I walked back and forth on this all morning. No footprints. Solid ice. )

I cleaned out the garage, super. Go hop into the truck. The truck does not go forward into the garage, it goes backwards down the ice drive way. Fuck.

No traction. at. all. The tires were spinning, and we got the truck up to 80 mph and still going no were.

We were determined and now instead of snow it was sleeting on us (for those of you, sleet is tiny ice balls at rain speed, hitting you in the face) that we were going to get the truck into the garage.

We grabbed hammers. And went at the driveway. (the other day we used the hammer to get at the truck)

Just where the tires were, hoping for some sort of traction. About 2" of solid ice. 40 minutes later, the truck is in.

Oh and when the Village plows the street, the make a small mountain at the end of our driveway. So you better fucking floor it on the way out!

This morning was wonderful! 35 degrees is like a heat wave right now, and it melted most of the streets, with the plows clearing the way.

Since then it has snowed, and sleeted some more, what a way to start winter. Oh and I feel like someone beat me, from the shoveling and chiseling at the driveway.

Merry Christmas again!

Random Sunday Morning.

  • It is 3 degrees out. Before the windchill. There are 40 mph winds. Which equals freeze your privates off, stings to breathe, make you cry like a bitch cold. So I drove to McD's for breakfast (thanks Aerial, I blame you and your coke sucking through the straw sound I heard from you yesterday)
  • Bagel was elated to see me home with a hash brown and breakfast burrito, AND a chocolate milk (special treat)
  • I uploaded and burned about 100 pictures, I will try not to show them all at once to you all, but it's hard to hold back.
  • I am in the process of packing for my beloved weekend getaway to a scrapbook retreat less then 3 weeks away... sigh... I know, 3 weeks, but I thrive off of organizing pictures, and filing my 12x12 pretty scrapbook papers. I spent a week just on accessories alone. Then a week on tools, and inks, stamps, markers, chalks, paints... it's my obsession, go get your own.
  • We faxed the request to NOT pay our taxes through our mortgage payments, giving me $479 more a month (our tax return is going to pay for the taxes, don't worry!) Just shuffling the funds around.
  • I still have a retarded amount of laundry to put away. And for those of you keeping track there are still 9 garbage bags of clean clothes stacked in Weaky's closet from Thanksgiving shove-the-shit-people-are-coming-over, obviously we are not in need of most of those items, but I am noticing a shortage of underware and socks.
  • We are all sick in some degree. Bagel is a mucus monkey, Weaky just sound stuffy, Spaghetti is always sick, and I woke up with a sore throat but McD's coke and Breakfast burritos, plus the grease from the hash browns has coated my throat.

Plan when I escape.

A continuation of the last post, I will be escaping to Spaghetti's part time day job at the video store to see him as Santa, dragging the kids out in the ice capades we call home. I think I will slide on over to Jewel and print out and burn some pictures, what else do I do while home on lock down? Take pictures of every breathing moment!

Of coarse I have the cords to upload them here, and the blank disks to burn my own. But my dear 6 year old CPU just won't have it. It sometimes works, and now in the midst of a wintery storm it will not work with me.

I hate blogging with no pictures! Anywho, it will be good for me and the totlets to get out. Wander randomly... I am excited! Not till this afternoon thought! Time for coffee!!

(oh, I should SO wait and go to the store AFTER I take pictures with Spaghetti as the local Santa...)

Day 4 of lockdown

Good morning.

I have to say if I didn't retardedly go out in the snowstorm last Tuesday, then it would have been 6 days of lock down. I just needed some sticky tape (no I really needed it for my Christmas cards, it has to hold down the glitter... whatever) from the local scrapbook store, only a 10 minute drive, but in the storm it took me about 30 minutes (not counting car cleaning off time) and I only swerved and lost control twice! (no kids with me Spaghetti was home)

And now we have the ice storm from Thursday night, still coating every possible surface. I know it is WAY snowier, and icier in other places, but this is my story damn it. So we have 5" of snow and 1" of sheer solid ice.

Which comes to you had better had gone out prior to the storms to get what you need, but those ditches on the sides of the road are just calling your name. SO I have been home.

As always, but Bagel HATES the snow, and won't go play in it. Ding and Dong are Boxers, so the are sensitive to extreme weather conditions (aka. sissies) so they are in all day too.

2 kids.
2 cats.
2 dogs.
me.
sometimes Spaghetti.

It just gets to be a bit redundant at times. I had dreams last night of making breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyone. That is what I do. Feed. Clean. Feed. Clean. Blog. Twitter. Clean. Stare at wall. Play. Feed...

I love being able to stay home, don't get me wrong, but it's just GREY outside, no sun for 3 days now, I can only use my inner sunshine for so long! But I hear it's supposed to be sunny and 25 on Christmas! 4 days till sunshine!

Either way, I may escape with the little people today. Spaghetti borrowed his dad's Santa suit, and will be playing the roll of Santa at the Video Store today. Time for the mom-a-razzi to step in! That ought to bring out some inner sunshine in me. That and the liter of coffee I will drink today.

Nothing.

I am not tired, I am not sore, I am not bitter or angry.

I am just not motivated.

Nope. Don't wanna, Don't wanna get the just woken from there naps kids, don't wanna make dinner, don't wanna change dirty butsie cheekies, don't wanna clean house, don't wanna do arts and crafts, don't wanna. Don't wanna sleep. Just wanna... uuuhhh... I dunno.

Blah.

Maybe I should put in a movie for me and the tots.

I think the ice and dark grey sky's are getting to me... oh how I yearn for the sun and green grass... I know your out there... 5 more months... just a little less then 160 days...

Blah.

Love a letter T

So here are the rules of the game. You take a letter of the alphabet, and list 10 of your favorite things (or things you love, right Becky?) but the twist is using the one letter of the alphabet! Hooray for fun. So here it goes, I have no patience to wait for a letter from someone so I will pick my own... I will pick a number and go with the coordinating letter... the number is 19... I got "S"...

  1. Summer= I love hot weather, not spring, not fall, but hot.

  2. Silly times= Yep, shocker I know. I love to be silly.

  3. Sound= Well since music doesn't start with S, we will go with Sound. Check out the music playing here, for just a small dose of what I love to listen to.

  4. Snow= Yes I do love snow. Ever since I went to Phoenix in December, and it was hot, and weird. I have a secret love for snow, only because everyone I know hates it. And it's not just because I don't drive in it often. I still don't mind. I think it's pretty, and fun, and makes me happy. But liking snow here is compared to living here and liking the Green Bay Packers. You just keep it to yourself.

  5. S.N.A.I.L.= it's an adhesive that Stampin' Up! sells, I love it!!

  6. Stampin' Up!= Hello! Can you say the best rubber stamping and scrapbooking company?!

  7. Starbucks= Yes, I drink Starbucks, love it. Love there stuff... more to come on this in another post.

  8. Spark.com= Well this is supposed to be an amazing and helpful site for me to lose weight. And I am sure if I would stick to it I would love it. I mean it's free, and they custom your diet, and work out plan and everything... if I would just stick to it...

  9. Spaghetti!= not the food silly. My Spaghetti!

  10. Scrapbooking= I like to escape into the love for preserving my family memories. Love it!

Now you can play, pick your own letter and play along. I will do this again someday, and just pick another letter! Enjoy!

Hot? Cold? Wet? Dry? Sunny? Cloudy?

Genius idea! Since we all live all over the place, I want to know what the weather is by you! You don't have to say right where you are, but a general location gives us a better idea, so leave me a comment, with your weather. Kinda like this...

45 degrees and it ain't getting any warmer. Cold. Rainy. No sun. South
Chicagoland weather, Happy November!

Like that! So each day (maybe each day) I will post my weather, and if you wanna, post yours. I think it will be neat to see what we all have going on. Especially when Chandler tells me it 75 and sunny, and I am sitting in grey slush with freezing rain...

Toast to Tuesday!

Here are the reasons why I think Tuesday is super!

I toast my dad!
I enjoyed my day yesterday celebrating my Dad's birthday, even though my cheesy Polenta sucked! Happy Birthday dad!

I toast the weather!
It is finally cooling off! I am SO over the hot weather, I am looking forward to chilly days, and snow! (I know curse me if you want... it's not that bad, and don't give me that, "well you stay home, so you don't have to drive in it" whine. I do drive in it, and it is messy, but I welcome the new season. It's better then pouting about it for 5 months!)

I toast coffee!
I love to drink my new Starbucks coffee (thanks Bowler) in my new coffee/capachino/espresso maker (thanks G&GMc) and I drink it this month in my Scrappink coffee cup! (thanks to Scrapbooks ect. The Junction, and all to support breast cancer this month!)

I am toasting to Spike!
That he is getting bigger by the minute! He eats his solid food better now, and he is rolling around like a mad man!

I toast my Bagel!
For her amazing vocabulary is growing by the minute! Love it!

I toast to my mom for making a kickass dinner last night! Meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, corn, yummy bread, veggies for Spaghetti, and then my over cheesy not enough seasoning polenta.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Bills suck, the economy is in the toilet, but look at the bright side... you woke up today!! Breathing and able to enjoy whatcha got, so Toast to Tuesdays!
